This is the second Sougayilang reel that I have purchased and the first one is butter....very very smooth. This one is a not as smooth, not bad though, have not had a chance to open up and grease properly.My kids caught a number of Fluke and 5lb. Bluefish I believe it's the XY1000. I've read reviews and seen videos bashing this brand concerning rust and or corrosion. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way some grease and oil prevented any issues at all while using it in saltwater. Inexpensive reel great value for the money.
