Great series!
This entire series of books is great for teaching young kids STEAM concepts in a fun and practical way. Each experiment clearly explains the supplies you need, step-by-step instructions, questions to ask your child about the experiment, and an explanation of how/what/why.

Great book!
Very cool. Love that each experiment does have an edible component. The only thing that would have made this better would be more pictures/visual explanations. When trying to work with this book and an eager kid, it's hard to have to read and try to talk and wrangle all at the same time! There's also a little bit of waste in some of these and it's painful when it's food, something that we know we should really never waste if at all possible!

Love encouraging kids to explore arts and science
Informative without being too scientific. 10 year old loves the concoctions. I love that it could just be a grilled cheese 😬

Super easy to use & fun
We have done several of these activities with a 3-year-old and two 6-year-olds. With significant adult help, all three of the boys are able to participate. Some of the best parts about this book:--Every experiment has a list in the sidebar for ingredients needed and another list in the sidebar for tools needed, so you don't have to read through the whole experiment to figure out what you need and accidentally forget something. This also helps because some of the tools are super random that you won't have at your house and you will want to get those before you try to do the experiment.--I also like that each experiment has a rating for difficulty and a rating for mess level. It has been much easier to skim through the recipes when I've been able to see at first glance how difficult the experiment is going to be.--Each experiment has little information boxes that can be modified to work with different ages of kids so that you can teach on each kid's level.--And the kids are having fun! They enjoy the experiments even if they are too young to understand the science.--Really creative ideas. Glow in the dark foods, fossil molds using melted chocolate, food coloring comparison with different foods... Cool stuff. No complaints except maybe a few more pictures would be nice.
