Delivers what it promised thus far. Clearly explains what and how hedge funds work and the strategies employed in achieving good returns.

The book covers many areas of IB with an easy to understand form. Not necessarily a training book and I suggest using complementary reading.

Read this at the beginning of my Sophomore year at college, by the end of the year got an offer at Goldman.

obnoxious formatting, but information seems intact
The contents of the book seem as promised. Haven't read the whole thing yet, but the first 45 pages (and random pages throughout that i've measured) are not aligned well. I'm not sure if the paper slicing machine misaligned this or the printer was tilted, but the top text of the page margin is consistently about 3 millimeters off vs. the bottom text of the page margin. Again, this formatting doesn't affect the information, but this is extremely annoying to repeatedly see page after page.

This book is no dummy
One of the best first chapters I've ever read. Great foundational knowledge and summary for anyone interested in the Investment Banking world, even useful for us old guard to review to solidify the base concepts.

Great Finance Book for IB Aspirants
Before you read Rosenbaum and Pearl, read this one by Matt Krantz and Robert R. Johnson first. You'll be glad you did. This is a great book, easy to read and comprehensive in scope. Those PhD, CAIA and CFA designations of Robert are reliable indicators of excellence of this work, and that's not undermining Matt Krantz' credentials who is a wizard finance writer himself with several books under his sleeve, including this one.

Mein Hund hat sich extrem über das Buch gefreut.. Er strebt schon etwas länger eine Karriere als Investment Banker an und ich denke dieses Buch ist gut für ihn um langsam in das Thema rein zu kommen.

Excellent
This is a well written book that explains complicated concepts in a way that is easy to understand. It covers a lot of information and is really interesting. It is good for understanding the fundamental principles of investment banking. The only negative is that it is a little bit dated now, published in 2020.
