The stories were well-written, fun and a great glimpse into Irish folklore. I highly recommend this for anyone who is interested in this genre.Just a general warning, this book is also being sold as  Irish Fairy Tales (Dover Children's Thrift Classics)  which I discovered as I accidentally purchased both, thinking I was buying two different books. I picked up that one after reading this one and was shocked to discover the exact same stories. Same stories in the same order, same author, everything except the title.

Bought this for my fiance to read since she loves faeries. Said she really enjoyed it and would give it five stars so that's what I did.

It was a Christmas present and was very well received by my Friend.

it's ok not as pretty as pictured

I am enjoying reading this collection of stories. The book is interesting and fun to read. I recommend this to anyone interested in this subject.

Interesting read, but was a little disappointed that all the tales centred on one area of Ireland and took me a while to get used to the Irish way of saying things in this book.

Lovely stories and book came safe and sound in very good condition. Recommended for any fairytale lovers. Great moral lessons from each one too.

A beautiful book containing some fantastic fairy folk lore stories, will be treasured.

Cheap book, but I read the crap out of this.This copy won’t look great on your bookshelf but the price is right.The content is greatIf you like Irish folk tales with a little spookiness told by the elders this is a great pick.Read it on a stormy night by candle light.
