Daily Select for Large Birds - 8 lb.

I was recommended by an expert in macaws to introduce our baby macaws pretty bird pallets with other nuts/fruits. So far my boys and girls have been playing around with these and learning to eat on their own. They are great sizes vs other brand that are hard to hold by these big birds. I mix these with fresh nuts, fruits; and also some other pallets (Harrison hi potency,lafeber macaw, Higgins macaw mix) so far I found them love the pretty bird ones best, probably due to sizes and there are real fruits inside! Yes they have colors etc but my birds love to have fun to eat too! So overall we chose to use mostly pretty birds for weaning birds.

My Blue and gold Macaw won't eat anything else.

This is a great brand. I started using this after adopting a 19 yr old yellow nape amazon that had been on SEED only her whole life (yes, I know...). My local bird store recommended this brand (I was like, "Pretty bird", seriously, don't you have a higher end brand?) but they assured me it would be a good pellet. We actually put her on the hi=pro variety (not this item) and in a matter of a few months, her weight came down (she was significantly overweight on the all seed diet), her "Scent" became more fresh and fruity (amazons have a natural smell, hers was like dusky and musky when I adopted her, Im not talking about her feathers, its more like their face), her feathers grew in more sleek and actually so much brighter she was like fluorescent. Her "green" became radioactive and in the sunlight you could see these areas of iridescence that were not there before. She is beautiful, even the store I adopted her from (The previous owner dumped her at the store) was floored to see how amazing her transformation was. I would have bought the hi-pro again if it was on amazon prime, but she has been on this and a small amount of seed for a while now and continues to look amazing, be incredibly active and just so much happier. If you have an amazon, you need this. (Obviously use this food in addition to overall proper bird care, fresh foods, low seed etc...)

Great value

This is great food for parrots. My avian vet recommended it nearly 20 years ago, and I have fed it ever since. My Umbrella Cockatoo, Olivia is nearly thirty, and very healthy and happy.

I was very pleased with the price vs. quantity of this food, and that it was available for Prime free shipping. This is the only food my OCD cockatoo will eat, so when my local store quit carrying it, I was happy to find it on amazon. The only issue I have with the food is that my bird would prefer all the pieces be green! Maybe Pretty Bird can fill his request? Ha ha.

Only pelleted food my U2 will eat and I've tried many, many others. He loves it and eats this along with fruits, veggies, pasta, meat, etc. I've fed this to him since he was weaned. He's turning 20 this year and is very healthy and happy.

This was a great buy for my two Macaws. They do not seem to waste as much food. Maggie loves to throw food out of the cage however with this kind it has decreased luckily. This food smells good basically fruity and the birdies love it. The price was affordable too! I know I will be buying some very soon again to restock.
