NEWTRY 0.4%-4% Fertilizer Injector for Drip Irrigation Adjustable Water Powered Dosing Pump 3/4" NPT

I purchase the Newtry fertilizer injection system to feed the flower garden growing around our household. It works as reliably as my neighbors $500 injection system in his commercial greenhouse! To winterize the system, I simply removed it from it's mounting bracket and brought it indoors. Next spring, I will change the plumbing to create a bypass line around the injection pump. It would be nice to have an internal bypass valve for those times when you want to wash a vehicle.

Built this fertilizer cart so we can move it around. Having great results using MasterBlend Tomato & Veg in a 2 bucket concentrate adjusting our pH to 6-6.5 at the plant. We are also using it to dispense a 2.5 ph acidic solution so we get our regular water to 6-6.5 pH at the plant. We have our pump set at 4%. My only question is how reliable is this pump.

This is my second one of these. I grow expensive and rare orchids in a grow tent. The first one I purchased after six months would not hold the proper fertilizer ratio. After nine months, even though I did all the appropriate maintenance, it started leaking and failing to inject fertilizer. I did all the necessary repairs, but it still did not work. So, I purchased a second one to hold me over until I could save enough for a MixRite. When I opened it, the caps over the threads were loose, and there wasn't any water inside. I didn't think anything of it, surmising they came loose during shipping. It made a horrible squeaking noise. I used the recommended vegetable, and the squeak went away. Two weeks later, it also stopped injecting and leaking. As I adjusted the ratio, the whole bottom stem part popped off and sprayed water/fertilizer into my mouth, eyes, and basement floor!!I disassembled the entire unit only to find that one of the O-rings had been replaced with an O-ring that did not fit, making it impossible for the piston to move smoothly within the shaft!!This was a used unit that someone had tried to repair using their own O-ring. They then returned it, and Amazon then passed it on to me!! I am so furious about this about this. I will not be buying another one, and I recommend you don't either

I attempted placing a threaded cpvc fitting on this on just one side. It never tightened even snug and the fitting just kept turning. Threads were either improperly made or not durable enough for a cpvc fitting. Useless item at this point. Update: it took awhile to have time to even put the original part together in order to make use of it. Being a diabetic with many health issues from that it’s harder to get out and get stuff done than I’d like. Anyway I wanted to say the company replaced my original faulty item. The new one threaded just fine. I should be good to go now come this weekend when I have more time to get back to lawn work. I appreciate the help and that at the end of the day I have an item that should be functional. The customer service is 5 star and they stand behind their product.

Nice pump, works fine. Easy to install and operate. Very happy with the pump.

Works great. No issues to inject fertilizer on my blueberries. Very accurate as well. Had standard garden hose hook ups on the ends so you can be up and going right away. Can buy 3 of these before you buy one of the name brand units.

I’ve purchased three of these in various sizes and installed them as parts of different irrigation systems on our farm. Unfortunately the one that is part of the automatic irrigation system in our greenhouse failed after 11moths of use. The main head cracked under standard city water pressure. As Murphy’s law states, this happened while I was out of town and water ran for several days. I bought these because of the value and ease to install. However, I would have hoped they would last more than 11 months. The other two of these I’m using look to be in better condition but they are installed in dark locations. It appears that the plastic that is used in construction of these is not UV resistant and becomes very brittle if exposed to direct sunlight for any period of time. Buyer beware, I would not purchase these unless they are installed in a dark shaded location. I should have spent the money on a better unit, as it ended up costing me more in the long run.

Works absolutely flawlessly! U have to pre mix a 50 gallon container, i pump air into mine.
