Save your money and buy the previous model
The Mizuno Wave Inspire 15 is one of my all-time favorite shoes. So I was anxious to see what improvements were made in the Inspire 16. The answer: Zero. In fact, the 16 is a downscaled, lower quality version of the 15. Less cushioning, less comfort, and cheaper construction. My biggest beef is the reduction in the foam lining around the heel collar. On my first run with the 16, I came back with a broken blister on my ankle from abrasion with the collar. There is a bloodstain on the inside of my right shoe if Amazon wants proof.

Graet sneaker
I was on a zero drop kick for many years, but also owned very early versions of the mizuno wave before that, going back almost 15 years. Now that I'm over 50, my heels and tendons are no longer resilient enough to use 3mm zero drop running shoes on asphalt and concrete. While I still like those for trail hiking, the days of running in them are over.I took a risk and purchased these straight from amazon without testing, and they work great. There is just a wee bit of movement, which I feared would cause blisters or at the very least some skin issues and I was prepared to either return these or use bandaids or body glide to prevent issues. Surprisingly though, up to 8.5 mile runs, anyway, there have been no issues at all.Great running shoes.Still, I worry about the rubbing a little on runs longer than 8.5.

Cinderella Story Concludes
In the case of the glass slipper fitting (me and this metaphor), it does so perfectly. It has been a long journey of checking my stance and gate, buying shoes, and soul inserts. Each one either a little big around the toes, or to tight around the bridge of my foot. Some felt to constrictive and other to loose. To top it all off, there was a reoccurring ankle injury and what felt like shin splints.I have used these shoes for two weeks now and I can run and jog with minimal ankle pain and no foot cramping. The "support" categorization feels true to its name and the sole isn't so large that it interferes with other exercises. It is hard to say anything bad about the shoe since it has resolve some of minor aches and pines that were a hinderance during a workout.I might change the review as I time passes. As for now, the Frog has truly found its princess and the metaphors are mixed.

Great shoe if your runner's profile is similar to mine
This is my nth pair of Wave Inspires; been running in them for quite a while. I have nearly flat feet (serious over-pronator), and I am lightweight, about 5-8 and 130 - 135 lbs. The shoe gives me all the stability I need. I run on both dirt paths and hard pavement. The Wave Inspires feel fine on both & they're durable. Also, proper fit is essential in running shoes. There are plenty of good ones; I go with these because they fit me well. I have average-width feet but fairly narrow heels, and I particularly like how the shoes cradle my heels snugly so they don't lift out when I run. For comparison, another shoe model that fits me right is the Asics GT-1000 series. Just have come to prefer the Mizuno Wave Inspire because I like the performance.

Wore Out In 4 Months, With Minor Use
Was actually a nice shoe for the first few months. Lightweight yet supportive. I have probably gone for a dozen 2-3 mile runs in these. I mostly bought them for walking, going to the gym and golfing. After 4 months they have developed a hole in the padding behind my heel on both shoes for some unknown reason. Needless to say, they are now unwearable. Very disappointed. I have owned several pairs of Mizuno Wave Riders in the past that have lasted for YEARS, so not sure what happened to this model.

Not suitable for a 3E - 4E extra-wide foot
This is a very comfortable mid-support running shoe.If you are a wide foot person it should fit comfortably. If you are an extra-wide foot beast like me, then it’s quite snug. My feet were very sore after running just two days. Yet I find myself with another running shoe I cannot wear. probably won’t use them again.

Excellent running shoe
I bought these to replace my last pair of Mizuno Wave Nirvanas which were discontinued eons ago (I had purchased several pairs at that time and just went through my last). This is the first time I have purchased running shoes without trying them on first (not recommended, but desperate times...). I bought a half-size larger than usual because I have Morton's toes and had developed black toenails (first time in 40 years of running). I must say I love these every bit as much as the Wave Nirvanas and they are much lighter. Very comfortable with good stability. Would definitely recommend.

I've been running in Mizuno Wave Inspire's for 3 years now - this model is even a bit better.
Mizuno's Wave Inspire is a great running shoe for people needing a bit more support and stability. These have consistently given me more miles that other brands in the past. For this year's model, they went with flat laces rather than the round ones from the past few years. I didn't necessarily dislike the round ones, but I do like these. The sole seems a bit more supportive in this model as well.My last pair of Wave Inspires were new just a few runs before they carried me through a full marathon. They then took me through all of the miles I logged during the lockdown earlier this year and into most of the summer. I fear that the new pair will only see virtual races this season. Oh well, even if no one else really sees them in action - they're still keeping my feet happy on my runs!

Repeat purchase
This is the 2nd pair of these running shoes my husband has bought. He’s very particular about running shoes so to buy 2 pairs says a lot!

Got a blister on first run caused by chafing from inner seams
I just ran 8k and came home with a big blister on the arch of my left foot, thanks to the design of these shoes. There are two seams running vertically on the inside of the shoe, which cause major chafing. It felt like there as a pebble or some foreign object in my shoe and I kept taking it off throughout the run to try to get the thing out, but there was nothing to come out - I was feeling these seams. As you can see in the photo, one of the seams is an elastic webbing attached to the tongue of the shoe. This is something new in the 17 version -- the tongue did not have this webbing in Mizuno Wave Inspire 11, the version I upgraded from. What an unfortunate design change. I miss my 11 versions.

Good size if you have wide feet.
I’ve had 3 pairs of this model so far through the last 6 years and they are a great shoe! Especially if you have ankle restrictions or issues. It has drop of 13mm which is really hi. I do a lot of walking and no running so can’t speak for runners but it is a great walking shoe. My only complaint is the width. I use to fit in a normal width 10.5 but the inspire is now made narrower then it use to so I now need a 10.5 EE (aka WIDE).
