Nice fit better price.
This is my second pair of HWK brand pants. The value of these are superb. The sizing is spot on for me. I’m 38-40 waist and 30 inseam in most pants. Not going to lie, my butt and thighs are big. Most regular cut pants fit me like skinny jeans. I went with 32 length and like it much better than the 30. (Less airflow up the leg)The zippers are big and useable with gloves on. The mesh panel on the thigh was one of the main reasons I went with these. I should be cooler while riding and fully protected. The soft fabric gusset on the waistline is super comfortable and minimizes the old plumbers’ crack/coin slot syndrome.Additionally there is a butt/seat/ass reinforcement that helps add a little friction to your seat. I won’t say it grips or sticks, but it minimizes your cheeks sliding around on the twisties and the uppy/downies.I did not get these for the warmth or water repellency, but you would be comfortable riding spring, summer and fall with these. There is a removable rain liner that should keep water out. (Remember there is a hidden mesh panel on the thighs so there are extra zippers and seams)Overall this is a great piece for newer riders or those that need some more specific or technical gear for rides.

Great cycle pants--but not all as expected
These are great pants for riding--very sturdy and they fit well over shorts (I wear 40 waist short and the 42 pants fit well over my shorts). Great value for the money--I am very happy with the pants. The pants are very durable and will protect your legs from exhaust burns and abrasions (if you do down).A couple of things, however:--These are not pants made of ventilated fabric. They are solid fabric, but have one vent in each leg just above the knee. They are still comfortable for riding in the summer.--The inner lining that holds the knee and hip pads is a nuisance--heavy and bulky. I had my wife remove this liner (by cutting it away). The pants are now much easier to put on and take off. There are still pickets in the actual pants for knee pads if you feel the need for these.--I am not sure what anyone would do with the rain liner. However, it is zip-out so it can be easily removed. It is not as bulky as the inner liner, so keep it if you need it.Again--very nice quality pants and I am very pleased. Now I don't burn my burn scars from the muffler and the air cleaner on my Harley.

Great Pants for the Price!
I've only worn these for 1 overnight moto camping trip so I can't speak to the durability yet. I am impressed with the overall quality for the price, though. They're pretty comfortable and lightweight. I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because I felt like it ran just a bit small. I'm usually a 32 waist and they were really snug on me. I exchanged them for 34 waist and it fits perfectly. As for the length, I'd say it's true to size but I do recommend going with 1 inseam longer if you are wearing them over your boots and also happen to have big caves. The previous pair that was 30" inseam was really snug over the boot and kind of restricted movement when I lifted my leg over my bike. I highly recommend these pants if you're on a budget and also want a light weight ADV pant.

Perfect
They fit fantastic, not baggy, but enough room that when you’re throwing your leg over the saddle, not a problem. The hip pads feel great. You can hardly even tell they’re there. I’m gonna upgrade the armor to some armor. I already have. But the garment itself is top notch quality for the money you can’t beat it.

Value for the price can't be beat.
First of all, the workmanship and features for the price are hard to believe. They do run large if you're not going to wear them over pants. For example, I wear a 32/33 waist in jeans and the 30-32 waist fit perfect when not wearing over pants. The legs zip up nice and high to get your boots on, and fit tight around the boot. I wish a 30-32 pant with a 33" or 34" inseam was available, 32" is the longest in this size. They come with removeable hip and knee pads. I removed the knee pads and use knee guards under them. The vents are a nice feature, but the liner must be removed in order to get airflow. The liner is removeable down to the knees. The pockets are awesome. The waist straps work well and keep the pants tight. I wear them for for trail riding and they have held up well. Limbs and bushes will tear just about anything, so I wouldn't downgrade them for a tear. Overall I'd give them a 10 out of 10.
