The henna will leave your hair in better condition; even give it a nice feel and shine. However, it can be mis-leading. It will not color your hair the first time you use it, but rather it will add SOME color over time with repeated use. Plus the color is a lot closer to dark red, not dark brown. Also, it needs to stay on your hair for 3 hours! And after you rinse it out, you shouldn't shampoo for 48 hours if you want to achieve any color. I don't recommend it for coloring your hair. If you are looking for a home hair dye kit which doesn't contain harmful ingredients you will have to pay at least twenty-five dollars for one quality kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with Henna Dream (dark brown) *by L***A on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2019* I have used this product for 3 years to color the increasing white in my long dark brown hair. It worked well for me the first time and has ever since. The dark brown matches my natural hair color well enough that I can use it for an all-over coloring or, periodically, just on the roots. In fact, in proper thickness, it works on eyebrows, too. Left-over mixed product can be frozen and used at another time. Use does need to be scheduled, as another commented, since it must stay on hair at least 90 minutes (minimal) to 3 hours (recommended for best results); then it takes a little time to rinse the "dried mud" out; and, no shampooing (or swimming, etc) for 48 hours at which time a little more of the stuff gets washed out. Rubber gloves and appropriate attire are recommended as it will color cloth, skin, under nails. But, mistakes wash out easily with soap/water unless it sits a long time. I find it effective; easy to mix and use; far preferable to chemical dyes; and oh so much more economical than a salon-dye. I like that this particular Henna product contains minimal ingredients & no fragrance, save for the vegetable henna smell (smells like cooked spinach) which I find dissipates rapidly. It leaves my hair and scalp in much better condition than without it.
