Seems sturdy, all things considered.
It seems pretty sturdy if you can overlook that it's made with particle board (which I knew about when I purchased). It arrived in a box at least twice the size of the canvas with no filler and it was rattling around in there. There was a hole in the plastic wrapping but the canvas is unscathed and doesn't seem to have suffered any damage whatsoever. I haven't used it yet. I'll update the review once I've used it to see how it holds up. I'm wary of the glue situation, It's not even wrapped to the back of the frame, it's glued down on the sides but it seems to be pretty solid. Will update.

Unimpressed
As a warning, this is NOT Fredrix's 'convexo' canvas as seen in the amazon picture. Those look like they are much higherquality (stapled, decent wood, better canvas) and cost a bit more money. The picture amazon shows before you click throughto this main page is accurate.I felt like I should have paid 10$ instead of 25$, though I guess that's the price you pay for an unusually sized canvas.This company seems like the only ones to manufacture a round, flat, style like this. The canvas is glued to particle board and I worry that it mightwarp when I apply water to the back of the cavas to re-stretch it and get the bumps out (which I usually do to all my canvas's, butthose are made with nice wood so it's not an issue). I'm not too worried about the glue, but if I'm paying 25$ I would have thought they would spend the extra dollar (or less) to staple it in. Otherwise it's your standard canvas. Nothing special. I would spring for the convexo next time or just find a round wooden frame and staple some raw canvas to that.

it works fine.
I use alcohol inks and all I had to do to prep was to use Kilz II. I am going to get more.
