## Description

Analog bass line synthesizer with VCO, vcf, 16-Step sequencer, distortion effects and 16-voice poly Chain.

Review: Effortlessly create that classic "acid" sound - This monosynth has the sound many of us have been looking to create. While it is intimidating to program a sequence, there are many online resources to help. (look for sites like "Famous TB 303 Patterns") While Behringer copied the original Roland TB-303 sound even even it's esoteric programming workflow. There are a few interesting tricks in this version that the original never had. First is the built-in distortion. This is similar to common guitar pedal diode distortions of the 1980's, and has a very authentic sound. The other is there are MIDI ports. Allowing you to play the device using a keyboard controller or synchronize with a DAW or other MIDI devices. Finally there is a "CV" output, which means if you want you can ignore the sound output and instead use the TD-3 as a rather affordable MIDI-to-CV interface for modular synthesizers.
Review: Some cheap fun for electronic music - I don't know how much better the "real thing" might be, but these are fun little units! The ideas you come up with them sound very unique and "special". I wouldn't come up with the patterns this unit does any other way. Making a pattern is a really weird process, and I had to watch youube videos to really get the workflow, but the final results are unlike anything else I've come up with over the years with many different pieces of gear tried out. The price for what you get is really amazing. The unit has held up to same pretty heavy handed use, and I don't see any obvious signs of wear or indications that it won't last for a long time if not abused. For the price, if it seems interesting, give it a try, and if you don't like it, or ultimately can't work with it's workflow, I've seen them for sale used for almost the new price, so if it doesn't work out you could always recoup most of your money, and it will still be a learning experience.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you need to connect this to a mac or pc to use it?**
A: No - you can run it stand alone. It is a bit finicky and tricky to program patterns without the Behringer (included) sequencer programming tool, but if you're old school it works just like the TB 303 USED TO WORK. Step input, one note pitch and note value at a time. A pc/mac will make this easy - point and click. And then you DUMP what you created to the TD3 for playback.

**Q: Want to use this to provide basslines to my uke group. Will it work for this?**
A: Yes, yours will be the funkiest uke group around!

**Q: I have a child that likes to play with music all day long.Do I need to connect this to an instrument for him to create music. How to save his music?**
A: It is an instrument itself. You need a way to connect to a computer and can then record a song with a free DAW (Digital Audio Workstation. ) Bitwig is one I know offhand, but there are several. I use Presonus. They have a basic one for free. You may need an audio interface to connect to the computer. Behringer offers some low cost solutions. UCA222 I believe. I started that way and it worked well. Behringer may even have a solution. Check out their downloads page.

**Q: Hello! Does it come with an international power supply? (110v-220v)**
A: My TD-3 arrived with a power supply with an interchangeable U.S. plug adapter (100v-240v) so I think you can purchase different plug adapters elsewhere that are compatible with the power supply. Hope this helps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This a great all around mixing console, and more...
*by C***S on January 20, 2021*

I love this little thing. Pros - Right now it is controlling 2 audio monitors, headphones, a guitar, live microphone, and MIDI input, while interfacing with Ableton via USB at 24-bit/192kHz on my awesome PC. It does it all and hasn't failed me yet in the 3 weeks I've had it. I'm basically using it as an audio hub. This is a must buy if you want a great audio interface that has plenty of inputs and outputs. All channels are very clear without line interference or connection issues. It is small and lightweight but knobs and ports feel sound and of quality. I would buy it again without hesitation. Cons - If you are just starting to use a DAW, the Cubase that comes with it is rather difficult to use, there are more user friendly DAW's for out there.
