If you like succulents you need this book.
Ever wanted to start a plant from something you were given for Mother's Day or such? The writing is clear and the photos are excellent. For more info on the subject I will seek this author.

Beautiful book but the "stars" ruin it.
This is a beautiful book with beautiful pictures and great descriptions. You can tell that a lot of care went into creating this book. The pitfall for me is the star rating system that the book uses to cover ventilation, cold, light, and growth. It's confusing and you have to keep referring to the table of contents section of the book to see what the stars mean. If it wasn't for that, I would love this book. Unfortunately, I am still on the fence about keeping this book even as I write this review.

Book is fine, delivery fine! Just not what I was looking for! Thank you!
I would like to return it. Nothing wrong with the book or the delivery! It’s just not what I was looking for. I was hoping it was a book on Santiverias, Snake Plants (Mother-in-law tongue). Thank you!

Somewhat Limited Information
First, my gripes. The "star" rating system notes that more stars in the ventilation, cold, light intensity, and light shortage takes more attention to the environment, which I would consider a negative. The "star" rating in the growth rating however states more stars means faster growth, which I would assume to be positive. This to me is confusing. In some of the pictures with a dark background, the ratings are printed on the background in white while the stars are in a darker color and barely visible. A major drawback is that there is nothing regarding Sempervivum, one of the more common varieties, sometimes known along with other freely sprouting varieties as Hen & Chicks. The photographs are very nice but there are other books more complete. The book is a decent reference for the limited amount of varieties that are covered.

Well written, well illustrated
The book is a general overview of succulents and cactus, therefore not thorough. However, well written and well illustrated.

Beautiful book!
This book is stunning. The pictures are gorgeous, and while it's not overly informative it does offer unique insight into succulent care and decorative planting. It has pictures of unusual plants that I don't often see in N.E., so it was fun to get ideas and see the different succulent plant families in case I run into something new! I love just flipping through it in the evenings, it's very relaxing and interesting.

Doesn’t give much info
I was little disappointed because it only covers 1-2 lines about each. It doesn’t cover care tips or placements which I was hoping for. Overall it’s not a a proper guide if you are looking for information about ur succulents. It will only help with identification of varieties.
