GOOD BUY ..tad expensive
I have used a lot of Copper vessels. This does not stain the outside so i am wondering about how authentic the copper is. Normal Cu will get stains e.g. water etc. Which need some acid to maintain. Inside has a typical smell.. but one can get used to it. Its typical to Cu vessels. Its a good buy. I like that it holds about 1L water. Can be used only for water.

Has lacquer on outside; possibly on inside as well.
I got this bottle for a great price ($14) and it arrived quickly, but the good news ends there; it had patina only on some scuff marks on the outside; I washed with some lemon juice and the patina went away which means it IS copper underneath so that's all well and good. I wasn't thrilled but as long as it's only on the outside, who cares right?So; I decided to experiment for the inside; copper gets a patina from exposure to oxygen so the inside of the bottle will generally not turn brassy/green if it's always full of water.I have had the bottle sitting empty with the lid off for about 4 days and it hasn't changed color at all so far. I will update this review if that changes.As a comparison, I have some pure copper rings that start to get a patina just from sitting for one day.The bottle also had some weird brassy spots on the inside; I tried cleaning the inside with lemon juice and baking soda and they didn't come off; not sure what's up with that. I thought maybe it was an area where the lacquer didn't adhere to the copper but if that's the case it should have cleaned up like the outside patina did.Overall, it seems like it has a complete lacquer coating; inside and outside.

Disappointing
Cap makes a terrible screeching noise when you open or close it. It had visible deformities in the copper on the inside when I recieved it and It corroded significantly within a week. Is pretty and fits in cup holders though
