These are meat sticks, not jerky. They are not greasy or fatty like those "slim" brands. One of my favorite flavors. When delivered, they had about 16 months until expired date.

After starting to change the foods I eat, I wanted something I could grab as a quick snack or that I could stash in my purse. I did not want to worry about it going bad if not refrigerated, I wanted something that could not be crushed, and something I did not have to prep ahead of time. What better item for a snack than a beef stick. I did a little research and found these to be perfect, everything I wanted with none of the added stuff I did not want. I ordered the Italian flavor just to try something a little different and wow are they good. Even my picky eater son loves these. Chomps is making eat easy for me to transition to a healthy eating lifestyle!

I thoroughly enjoyed these, but when I went to re-order them they were unavailable and/or have priced themselves out of the market. Too bad.

During these uncertain times, it's wonderful to have a dependable source of protein that comes in such a tasty flavor, and is reliably of excellent quality. I love these Chomps Italian style snack sticks for a quick snack between meals, or when it's too hot to cook something, or when I want the perfect fit-in-my-pocket size treat to bring along on a hike or when I'm out in the garden. I'm so grateful that these beef jerky snacks are consistently available, and also that they taste so great with a bit of fruit--either fresh or dried.

The Italian style tastes sort of like pepperoni, but more mild and obviously not peppery. I like that they are API, my wife can't eat peppers unfortunately so this flavor is great for her. If only they weren't so expensive. I'd be inclined to get them more if there was a subscribe and save option like there is for almost all the other flavors!

Wow, where do I even start with this culinary masterpiece..?? This meat stick is truly the pinnacle of gourmet dining. Who needs a steak dinner when you can have this delightful, tube of meat? The texture is just what you'd expect- like chewing on a tire, but with less flavor. And the taste? Oh, it's indescribable--mainly because it doesn't really taste like meat, or anything else for that matter. But hey, it's portable and vaguely food-shaped, so that's something, right? I give it five stars for making me question all my life choices up to this point!! -Actual review: These are really good, A great snack for trips. 10/10

Taste like real meat compared to other sticks

TERRIBLE!!!! Got the Italian seasoned beef chomp. Extra dry and no flavor. Was like eating beef cardboard. After taking 1/2 hour to almost finish 1 stick (was only able to eat about 4 bites). Realized this is not what I was expecting. Gave the remaining sticks to a homeless guy (a regular around my neighborhood). I warned him they are very dry. He tasted one and said "....yeah, your right, these are dry". He passed on the rest of the box, although he said "...I know people that will eat them". So I left the remaining with him. Time to back to "Slim Jims"
