Worked great for my project
I saw an idea on Pinterest for these. They used the full 6" stick, but I thought it looked better with a shorter stick. Since I was making so many, I decided to try using the half of the stick that I cut off, so I ordered some 12mm wooden beads that have a 2.5mm opening and they fit perfectly. In the attached picture of the green and pink "baby rattles", the green is the bottom half of the rock candy stick and the pink is the other half of the stick with the bead glued to the end.
