Had to go smaller than expected
Returned first size (large) and got a medium. My husband wears an xl-l in regular clothing and he was swimming in the large. We got the medium and while it is still pretty long on the torso, (he's 5'9") it was not as loose all around and the arms stopped shorter. The Large sleeves went at least 6" too long.

Extra-Large is more like a Large. Very easy to put on and take off, easy to store.
Other than the size being more like L rather than XL, this is a nice-looking poncho that's very quick to put on and take off. Rolling it into its pocket is very handy. Useful for emergencies and outdoor activities.

Very Good Poncho for the Price, if a Bit Short
I'm a rain-adverse, but avid hiker. I very much dislike gortex shells since they're (1) not really waterproof, (2) steambaths when exercising. So when rain threatens, I use a poncho—but not the wimpy plastic kind (good only in emergencies). I prefer good ponchos because they're smaller, lighter, and above all: voluminous. So one can actually hike uphill in the thing without producing more moisture inside than the rain throws at you. It's easy to disperse the internal moisture just by waving the poncho around. This poncho is coated nylon (or polyester; not much difference). It comes with a small stuff sack, which is handy for when you want to take the thing off and stuff it back into your pack without getting the rest of your gear wet. My last poncho (stolen) was a Sierra Designs model that was quite similar to this one, but cost twice as much.As with my Sierra designs poncho, this one could be a foot or two longer to protect more of my legs (I'm only 5-9). The sleeves could be another 6" longer as well. But I'll forgive those quibbles because the price was so low, and, let's face it, nothing keeps you completely dry.4 stars since it's really too short. But very serviceable. And it comes in lots of colors, including the orange I like to be seen in (hey, we all might need something to wave at the rescue copter).

My husband loved it
Rapid delivery. Quality good. Might get one my self. True to size. Hadn't realized one of the pockets was the carrying case.

if it is windy, not so good. Good over back packs, purses.
Positives: cape style look, kept my purse/backpack dry and protected from pickpocketers too, has an internal pocket, folds up into itself like oragami :). If sitting or standing, like at a game, this would go over a warm snuggly blanket draped over shoulders.Negatives: whenever it was the windy or gusted, it all opened up each time, so didn't stay dry or warm. There are no snaps around the arms. So I couldn't really use my arms freely either, to do normal activities outdoors.

Fashionable and functional
I purchased this for a trip to disneyworld and it did not disappoint! I used a metal clip and clipped it onto the side of my Fanny pack so it didn’t not take up space. It was sooo nice with the huge pocket up front and was really durable. Made a bunch of really nice pictures too! Now I keep it in my car and wear it whenever it is raining and get many compliments on it!

Nature's element
What an awesome poncho that does three things. Though I've only used it for two things, I'm sure that it serves well for an emergency-impromptu tent. Comes in variety of colors, though i wish this particular variant was in camo, I chose green as my favorite color. Hardly noticeable in your luggage, it is snug and compact, makes it convenient when out camping trips. Holds up decently in cool breezy weather, anything colder would require jacket underneath. Overall, great product.

Great for teachers working outside on rainy days!
Bought this for work as I'm ECE, and it rains a lot. Even the best rainproof jacket soaks right through on some days. All my co-workers have been asking where I got it now. Works just as great as the kids muddy buddies to keep me dry. I can keep my walkie talkie, and gear dry underneath of it. It's not too thick. Pretty chilly without a jacket, but I like that I can wear anything under it. Makes it so I can stay warm on those rainy days with my hands free to enagage with the students.

Much too roomy and stiff
Fabric not soft so tends to sit out like a tent, also massive size.
