Quilting with Liberty Fabrics: 15 Quilts Celebrating 145 Years of Fabric

I love Liberty of London fabrics and this book contains a nice history. There have been over 50,000 fabric designs over the years. In 2025, Liberty of London celebrates 150 years . . . . wonderful resource and very interesting to read.

This book is beautifully written and designed. I loved learning a little bit about liberty fabrics from the one and only Jenni Smith. Also included in the book are 14 patterns using liberty fabrics and designed by the author.

I bought this book as a gift to myself, I have adored Liberty tana lawn for decades. The book is a must have if you similarly have a love for Liberty fabrics. Beautifully presented and with some lovely quilt patterns showcasing these beautiful designs.

I am a fabric and textiles enthusiast. I am a fan of Liberty London fabrics and have made presents of scarves and handkerchiefs made with Liberty London fabrics. I had high hopes for this this book. Such a disappointment! Beware.

Liberty fans will love the attention to detail, the history of Liberty fabrics and the curated sections showing famous prints. Love the patterns, very straightforward, made more charming with the scrumptious fabric. A must for all Liberty fans.

Jenni Smith's lifelong love affair with Liberty fabrics and her background in quilting has resulted in this beautifully presented book. By creating a quilt for each decade of of the Liberty design studio she has given us a background to the introduction of many of the classic Liberty designs. I had already ordered this book when I attended the 'virtual' book launch and listened to the stories of how the quilts were designed and the fabrics chosen. I would recommend this book to all quilters who love Liberty fabrics even if it is just to keep looking through the gorgeous photographs! I was not asked to write this review nor have I received any compensation for doing so!

When I visited London several years ago, one of my favourite places to visit was Liberty of London. It is a beautiful building filled with beautiful things. As a quilter, I was amazed at the beautiful fabric department. The pictures in this book brought back fond memories. And there are lots of beautiful quilt patterns for inspiration.
