While St. Germaine is a little known French Saint, when trying to decide what name I would use for my Confirmation Saint, a new church in my home State of Michigan built a Church in her honor. Booklets about her life were published to familiarize the parishioners about this young girl. My much-loved Aunt who was my sponsor gave me a booklet about her and I cried through the entire booklet! I knew she would be my Confirmation name. Sadly, to this day, it is very difficult to find information about Germaine but she is one of the Saints whose body did not decay. So many years later I reread the pamphlet and cried through the entire booklet! I have a statue of St. Germaine but when I saw this rosary with a 3rd class relic, I had to have it! It is one of my plainer rosaries but it means a great deal to me.
