Hawaii Five-O (2010): Season 5

Great scripts, great acting, and gorgeous Hawaiian scenery. What more can one ask for? HOWEVER . . .I had just resigned myself to the fact that there was no episode 13 for some reason. (Maybe like the original H50 episode "Bored, She Hung Herself"?) I searched all these reviews to see if anyone else noticed that it was missing, and one reviewer (bless his heart!) solved the mystery and explained how to view it.Here's how: After episode 12 (the 4th one on disc 3), hit "Next" and a new menu screen will show with that one episode. I wonder how many people have just missed that episode?

This show continues to provide top-notch entertainment. The violence has been toned down a bit, but the characters draw us in even more than past seasons. The shows often have two or more plot lines that are active at any time, giving members of the Five-0 team a chance to be in the spotlight. We haven't watched that many episodes yet, but even then, several episodes were especially poignant. -- A number of people have complained about the rotating supporting cast, but that does not bother us and helps keep the show fresh with quirky characters and their own story to be told. -- Unlike other shows where supporting characters are often just background to the regulars, these characters are fully developed with a complete backstory (that isn't just "told to us" but something we can imagine through how they behave. -- And finally, the picture perfect views of Hawaii are always wonderful to look at.

My family loves Hawaii Five-O! Not much else to say, the discs and cases came in great condition!*UPDATE*Apparently, there more to say! Now that we've gotten into this season a little bit, I have to take one star of, because when the characters are speaking, it's very quiet in comparison to the music and action sequences! This means the music and action volume is just right and then they speaking is too quiet, or the soaking I'd just right and then your eardrums get assaulted with the music/action! I don't recall the previous seasons having this issue, but I still enjoy the show anyway!

Wow loved this until got to next to last episode and OMG 😯 it began to stick at the best scene ever being stranded on the ocean on a surf board and then each frame stuck stuck tried over and over to get a sense of what is going on then next she is onLand walking and next on hospital! Will have to try to buy another bummer! I love this show!

I enjoy the characters, but sometimes the plots get a little far out there. I have enjoyed the relationships of the main characters. I will continue to watch as long as they are sympathetic as long as the situations do not get more outrageous.

I do like how it arrived right when it said it would & the picture & sound is nice. However, I’m not happy that the cover of the DVD is a little damaged. Also when I put the first disc in the number of episodes were out of order.Season 5 starts with episode 501 but on the screen it started from 504, 501, 503 then 502. So it really confused me until I looked at the inside cover of the DVD. All in all everything else seems to be ok & I just started the 3rd disc.

Love this series. It's great from beginning to end. I really wish they would release the entire series on Blu Ray for the Americas, region A.This series deserves a Blu Ray release.

I am a fan of both the original and the new. I think this is the best season so far, with the exception of the first episode. I felt like it got back to the spirit and form of the original show. I also feel like the series has taken a similar quality track. The original (in my opinion) started getting really good with season 4 and the new started getting good with season 3. For the fans of the new who haven't seen any of the original I highly suggest that you do in order to truly understand what makes the show so darn good. The original was the longest running of its kind until Law & Order overtook it. You can really tell that Alex studied Jack quite closely.

If I could give no stars I would. The seller didn't mention that this was region 1. I waited AGES for this to show up. I have season 6,7 and and 8, and have been holding off watching until I got season 5... which I just found out I CAN'T even PLAY!!!! Grrrrrr! Next time MAKE THE REGION MORE OBVIOUS!!!

Would give zero stars if I could it was supposed to have 6 disc’s but only disc 1 &6 was sent no disc 2,3,4 or 5
