Easy to use - my students had so much fun creating shrinky dinks and sharing them with their friends. Loved that there was so much included in this kit to create keychains. Great product!

I bought this kit so my second graders could make keychains for their moms for Mother's Day. I've never actually made shrinky dinks before so I was nervous these wouldn't work. However, the sheets shrunk down and flattened in the oven perfectly! At first, I tried giving them just 2 minutes in the oven but realized that wasn't long enough so I just watched through the oven door and as soon as they flattened back out, I took them out of the oven. If they look like they are still curled up, just give them a little longer in the oven and the magic will happen. They turned out SO cute! My students were very excited to give them to their mothers for Mother's Day.

My 11 yr old loves these. The day they came in she immediately started making stuff. The cutest part was my mother-in-law saw her creating and immediately had a flashback from when she was a kid and asked if she could make stuff with her. They had a blast and now do these together. They followed the directions exactly and had no issues. The final product comes out sturdy as well. So far they have made key chains, earrings, and bracelet charms.

This was a good package! I actually ended up using other colored pencils since they didn’t write as great on the paper. Instead I used erasable colored pencils and that did a really good job. We drew students hands and then had them write a Mother’s Day message to their mom and then cut the hand out and turned them into keychains. It worked out very well. Will be doing this every year.

EDIT: I tried fineliner pens, it smudged everywhere and bled on the page, smudging even after being baked. Granted, it was water-based so I half expected this to happen, I'm sure sharpie or other oil-based fineliners will work great. I also tried a heart shaped cut out with a smaller heart cut into it. That didn't work because the thinner part curled and stuck to the other side during baking (this didn't happen with a smaller keychain hole), so I took it out and manually fixed it, put it back in the oven thinking it would fix itself. It did, until I took it out and attempted to remove from the pan and it curled back up and now it is mishapen and will not fix itself. So word of advice if you plan on cutting in shapes within the drawing - don't make it too big! I stand by my 5 star review if used and baked correctly. --- ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had the problem of that one star review at first. It curled and I couldn't put a heavy book on top of it fast enough to flatten it. Little did I know, these things are SUPPOSED to curl and then they magically flatten out! I panicked when I saw it curl and took it out too early, but DON'T PANIC! Leave them in there for a few more seconds and they flatten out. Once it goes flat, take it out and let it cool for a bit before you mess with it. I even put the first failed attempt back into the oven and it flattened itself - that was after it had completely cooled and hardened! I didn't even have to put a book on top. I did a drawing about 5-6" tall (almost the entire page) and it shrunk to about 2" tall, perfect keychain size. A regular hole puncher shrinks down to perfect keychain hole size. I used prismacolour pencils and it looks great. It does feel like it will smudge so I will probably put a layer of epoxy resin on top at some point. I will edit my review if I do that (also when I try out fineliner markers on them) to let you all know how that goes. So tldr: Don't take it out of the oven before it goes flat, and even if you take it out too early you can just put it right back to fix it! Just keep watching it and you'll know when it's done.

What a great kit for the price! This was perfect for a family fun project! I have never heard of this before now and they are perfect! They shrink exactly as they should, the colors are vibrant and they are durable once full set. I would recommend a heavy object to place on them once done because they can warp.

My kid had so much fun designing his own shrinky dinks. We had it delivered to a place with nothing to help except the oven so having a full kit was very helpful.

I found these as a wet-weather activity to entertain my 5 year old and she loved it. The pack was great, came with everything we needed. Each sheet has a frosted and clear side, the frosted side works best for drawing on. We tested a few materials, sharpie for the outline and coloured pencil with a bit of mod podge to seal worked a treat. Some of the larger shapes do bend and curl too much if you use one page for a single design, but we found we could put about 3-5+ small designs per page and they worked really well. Some of the other products on Amazon had bad reviews or gripes about no instructions etc but this kit was good value.
