HOLY GRAIL for a minor rosacea girly for that every day look
The media could not be loaded. After YEARS of searching for a good tinted face sunscreen, I’ve found the one. I waited until I finished an entire tube and am about to order a second before I wrote this review. I’ve tried just about every one out there from tower 28 Sunnydays, several Elta md, several la roche posay, alll the Neutrogena, image, skin better, and more.As someone with rosacea that doesn’t wear makeup often- I like a tinted option and need to stick with mineral sunscreens, but I am not a fan of the shiny glass skin look, especially since my husband also uses the face sunscreen and hates shiny. The best way to describe this product is that it is a blend of the MD Solar Sciences mineral creme (a fantastic option for normal to oily skin in dry weather places with some serious tinted pigment coverage, but very bad for humid places as sweat droplets just sit on your face), elta md tinted uv daily, and the Neutrogena purescreen mineral uv tint (similar to elta md very shiny, not much tinted pigment coverage but affordable and has this great blurring effect). See images for comparison of the Neutrogena purescreen vs this Australian gold. The Australian gold has a matte finish and similar to the md solar sciences- SHE THICC but the product is very breathable once applied. This sunscreen doesn’t have as much pigment coverage as the md solar sciences, but there is a blurring effect similar to the Neutrogena with a teeny bit of extra pigment coverage just to help make your skin tone look cohesive and hide minor redness. I uploaded a before and after application picture and you can see it literally looks exactly like my skin in the before picture, just the slightest bit less red and more consistent coloring across my cheek, but it doesn’t hide my freckles at all.I don’t wear makeup often, but when I have worn just a bit of blush, mascara, etc on top it has worked great. However, the times I tried to put on concealer or my IT cosmetics cc cream on top it didn’t go so well. So, this definitely works well under most makeup but it doesn’t play nicely with foundations since it leaves very dry patches on your face and does not allow your foundation to blend (it comes out very speckled/splotchy).As far as sensitive skin goes- I’ve had ZERO skin irritation with this product where almost every other product causes me to break out for a few minutes upon application and then chills out. I’m fairly certain it is the niacinamide in most sunscreens that causes that reaction and this product doesn’t contain it that I’m aware of.Many reviews mention this, but the product is very difficult to get off. In the mornings I have to wash my hands with soap 2 times before it is off, but to me it has felt like a small inconvenience for the way it makes my skin look like mine but better. I double cleanse at night with the elf holy hydration cleansing balm and then my normal Vanicream face wash and it’s been perfectly fine! I haven’t noticed extra breakouts or anything due to this concern. Now, along these lines- the product is very transferable before drying and even after it’s dried when you are taking your clothes off especially on white clothing. BUT it hasn’t been anything some micellar water hasn’t been able to fix! Stain removers didn’t really do anything to get rid of the product on my clothing, but micellar water as soon as you notice the transfer has worked wonders. All in all- this doesn’t work great under foundation, but it gives a beautiful skin like look with blurring and very slight color coverage for the every day look!

Great Sunscreen, But a Bit Dark for My Skin Tone
I really like this tinted sunscreen – it has a nice texture and blends well, but I ordered the medium to tan shade, and it’s a bit dark for my skin. I do tanning bed sessions, but I don’t tan my face, so I use this sunscreen to match my facial tone to the rest of my body. It works well for that purpose, but I might try a lighter shade next time for a more seamless match.Pros:•Great coverage and texture, really waterproof!•Stays in place even on hot days•Gives my face a natural, sun-kissed glowCons:•Runs a bit darker than expected, so choose your shade carefully

Really love this, just a little too drying. (mature skin)
I really do love this sunscreen. I think they changed it a few years back because the color works better than it did before. I get the fair to light and it works great. It used to be too dark but I think it was just one color, now they offer three? I'm not positive but it used to be too dark for me but they do offer a light and it works great for my skin tone. I love that it's a high spf of 50. It is free from so many harmful ingredients which is very important to me. I don't want harmful chemicals on my skin or fragrance. It's also cruelty free which again, is important to me. I have mature aging skin which has become sensitive and this doesn't sting, burn or irritate my skin in any way. The spf 50 is a huge bonus with this as well because my skin has become very sensitive to the sun and I can feel the difference when I'm wearing this compared to being out in the sun without. I've developed an auto immune disease and along with that I developed rosacea and now my cheeks are so sensitive and will burn and hurt when I'm out in the sun without sunscreen and when I'm wearing this they don't. I can wear this all day and it still looks great. It gives a decent amount of coverage. I don't wear foundation any more and haven't for years but I want some sort of coverage and I find that this looks very natural but hides many flaws, like marks/discoloration, helps diminish acne scars and pores and makes my wrinkles looks better. I definitely look better wearing this than without and without a heavy makeup look.I would give 4.5 stars if I could and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is too drying for my mature skin. I used to have a more oily skin and this would have been great but now that I'm older, 57 to be exact, my skin is no longer oily and this makes it feel a little tight and dry so I mix it with a little of my Cerave AM facial moisturizer and that adds some moisture and makes it bearable without the tight drying feel. I've tried other tinted moisturizers because of the drying matte issue but there was always something wrong, like usually the color, too shiny, not enough spf, and or too expensive. The amount you get and the price are such a bonus and don't forget the spf 50! I just really like it a lot. I wish it was more moisturizing but it's not hard to just mix a little Cerave AM into it on the top of my hand and they apply. I've tried other brands to mix in other than the Cerave and I find the Cerave blends the best. I hope this review is helpful. I figured after 3 or more years of using it I should help others with what I've learned from it. Like I said, I have tried other brands but I keep coming back to this and why would I pay more when I know this works and looks so good. It's also buildable so it really does work and look like a foundation. Great product.

Sensitive Skin Safe Sun Protection for a Natural and Effortless No Makeup - Makeup look
This is the best tinted sunscreen I've tried so far and you can't beat the price point. I have fair skin and get a faint tan during the summer and it looks good all year round. I use the lightest shade. This blends well and doesn't have the heavy chalky feeling that many other mineral sunscreens have.I use this over my moisturizer and I haven't worn foundation since I started using this about two years ago. I have acne prone skin and sensitive skin and haven't had any issues. Never had a sunburn with this either. My aunt asked what foundation I use and I told her I just use this and she tried it and loves it now too.The only con is it can be hard to find sometimes. Please do not discontinue!
