Fazer Pihlaja "Fox Candy" Classic Finnish Rowan Berry Marmalade Candy Bag

I certainly wish I had discovered these or had been able to try them before they changed the recipe. With there no longer being rowan berries in the recipe, I’ve nothing to which I can compare the taste! Regardless, they’re delicious, and the texture is like ultra-soft Turkish delight that melts in your mouth. In the future, I’ll purchase this from the distributor’s website (Soposopo.com), since both the item price and shipping are cheaper (and it’s kinder to the seller, anyway). My order arrived within 15 days of ordering, but I expected longer, given prior experience with overseas purchases, so don’t be surprised, depending on the time of year and how slowly Customs here in the US is working, if it takes a month or more. They arrived perfectly safe in the middle of a hot Minnesotan summer, but mine were delivered indoors, so an outdoor delivery in the sun may result in their melting. Very happy to have these to share with some fellow Finnish candy and rowan-flavored/-themed enthusiasts!

A Finnish friend of mine recommended these to me and I'm glad he did. These candies are delicious. I've never tried Rowanberry before but it's a sweet, refreshing flavor. The texture is slightly chewy, but it quickly dissolves in your mouth like jam. My one complaint is that it took quite a while to ship, from Nov. 11th to Dec 30th. However, this could be due to the current pandemic conditions as well as the holiday shipping delays. I'd definitely order them again.

The shipment arrived very early (2.5 weeks before the earliest estimated date!) and in great condition! The marmalade candy is individually packaged and portioned well for a "quick indulgence". The flavor is clean, clearly that of a berry, and avoids being too sweet making the entire experience pleasant overall. Personally I would've preferred a more "crispy" exterior to contrast the soft-jelly like interior as some other marmalade candies do, but that doesn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying snacking on the candy.

Candy arrived a day early and was packaged well! Held up well to the summer heat during shipping. Interesting, sweet candy that kind of dissolves in your mouth. The flavor and texture especially were a surprise at first but each one you eat tastes better and better.

Maybe I had higher expectations based on the flavors which sounded really good, but all they are is a hard brick of sugar, no flavor at all. Threw them away.
