I bought this hook specifically for fatter soft plastic swimbaits. The bend under the eye of the hook is great because the fatter soft plastic does not smush up against the hook nearly as much as a straight hook. More importantly, the screw in piece saves money because the soft plastic baits hold up much better being screwed in as opposed to being run up the hook.

These hooks are exactly what I was searching for. They’re heavy duty to handle big fish in heavy cover. I needed a gig hook with a wide gap to use with plastic frog baits and these fit perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

These hooks are great! I use them rock fishing from shore in Northern California and it’s amazing how many fewer snags I get. The presentation is amazing. I’m gonna buy a couple different sizes. I like to pinch my barbs and these ones lay down nicely.
