PROSUN Metal Handheld 2 Inch Tape Gun Dispenser Packing Packaging Sealing Cutter Orange

As someone who tapes up boxes every day—I estimate over 35,000 (at least) over the years—I have been driven crazy by many different styles of tape dispenser. With this PROSUN tape gun, I finally believe I have found the perfect product for my needs. When your daily work involves using a particular tool, you want that tool to WORK for you so you don't even have to think about it. This one is it! After recently reading about the legendary 3M H-122 dispenser I bought two of them sight unseen. They're decent, but WAY overpriced, and the all plastic construction left me cold. Comparing the H-122 to this Prosun dispenser, there is no comparison at all. The Prosun just blows it away. It's far more affordable, higher quality, and it's even quieter when you use it. The plastic 3M dispenser makes a LOT of incredibly loud squeaking noises, the plastic seems to resonate and amplify the sound when you pull the tape out. It's deafening, actually. The all metal PROSUN product doesn't have that problem at all. Don't even think twice, buy one for everyone in the office NOW!

Had to make some small modification in order to prevent the tape from constantly falling back into the tape roll. It's really annoying when you have to undo the tape and re-position it back into the top of the cutter. Since the tape is cut with many grove you'll end up wasting a lot of tape trying to re-position it back in position for usage. I've made a minor modification in order to solve this problem.

I absolutely hate using the cheap plastic dispensers that come with packing tape. The end of the tape always ends up back on the roll -- you spend more time scraping it back up than you gain from using the dispensers. Those cheapie plastic snap on dispensers also want to come apart when you're applying a long length of tape.I bought this dispenser for home use and like it because it isn't one of the huge, commercial "guns." Easy to load and easy to use. The end of tape stays where I want it -- and not stuck on the roll. Make sure you load it correctly: it appears a little weird at first. The tape is threaded BETWEEN the 2 white rollers and the larger black roller near the cutting blade. Keep the sticky side of tape toward the white rollers. You'll get the hang of using this soon enough.

This is very well designed. It cuts the tape just perfect and come with an extra blade so your not going to buy a new one for quite a while. It's also made of metal again you will be able to use it a long time. One of the things I like most is that once the tape is cut the cut end of the roll rest on two rollers and does stick back on the roll. That is great when using clear tape because you don't have to find the cut end. The last thing is it easy to use. The pistol grip one work fine but you have to know how to use them or you waste a lot of tape. This one is so easy just about anyone will be able to use it right out of the box.

Made my life so much easier. I use packing tape a lot for a lot of reasons other than packages. Every time I pick it up having to find and peel the edg was getting pretty annoying so I figured find a dispenser just figured it might be a little big and take up space in the desk drawer. This is not too big it feels heavy duty yet it’s pretty simple and works great. Never have to worry about finding the tape end again and if I ever move this will probably be the most helpful thing ever. Top is hinged so as the roll gets smaller the top will follow he size of the roll. Squeeze to get the tape to stop dispensing by pinching the roll in between the middle and the top hinged flap, then use the teeth to get a clean cut. Simple and easy as that.

I love this thing. I've fought with various tape dispensers and tape guns for a couple years now and wasn't ever really happy.I don't know what a perfect tape dispenser would be like, but as far as I'm concerned this fits the bill for me.Rather solid metal construction (can still bend, it's not super thick), good dispensing mechanism. I do a lot of ebay stuff, and this has made my life a whole lot easier.

We bought this for taping up moving boxes. The cheap plastic ones they sell with rolls of tape always feel cheap and temporary. I wanted something I could use long after our immediate needs. This tape dispenser is heavy duty, but a reasonable weight and size if you aren't looking for a commercial dispenser. I've been really satisfied with its performance thus far. I've been using the Grizzly Power Clear Packing Tape Refill Rolls with a 2.8mil true 2" width, and they work great with this dispenser.

Dispenser is pretty well constructed and sturdy. Ergonomics - great. But for me, anyway, it's hard to keep the tape roll from slipping off the dispenser mid-use. This wrecks and wastes the tape being applied and sometimes tears the surface of the package. Also, the little roller bars that guide the end of the tape don't do what they're supposed to. If I'm not careful, the end of the tape will slip out of position and stick to the roll. Even when I AM careful, it happens. I spend about 1/3 of the time packaging anything just hassling with a cranky device that hates doing its job. Am shopping now for a replacement that I can work WITH, not against.

I have bought a few tape dispensers, and this one is one of the very few good ones I have had. BUT, it does take a little practice to become competent with it. The biggest part of that is that you have to learn how to preserve and use the trailing tape that arises after each sweep. It will take you a while to get this right, but once you have, this thing is great. It is very strong and you can expect to have it delivering parcel tape efficiency and effectiveness for a good long time. One more thing though, don't use nasty, cheap tape. Pay a little more and get tape that is a little thicker; no tape machine works well with rubbish tape.It's a great price. Go for it.

Got sick of fighting with a parcel tape reel, and could never use those stupid tape guns. Researched a better solution on YouTube and the consensus seemed to be this type of dispenser. Chose this one as it looked a well made item and indeed it is, being made of metal. Use it all the time now and it has really sped up my taping activities (and made them less annoying).

Good for masking up when decorating

Absolutely fantastic, had a cheap plastic one before this which was similar price this is miles better, prefer this type so much to normal tape guns. If you package lots of boxes this will save you time, effort and tape wastage

Nice and sturdy. Staff love these more then other tape dispensers. Will be ordering more . Quick and easy to use once you get used to it.
