These are easy to use during early stage recovery while in physical therapy. They are easy to grip and helped to gain strength. They are small and lightweight making them easy to store. I like that they are vinyl coated which makes to easy clean-up. Oh, and the price was right.

They are nice perfect size strengthen your hands and wrist! No assembly required! Non plastic! Easy grip! Again the perfect weight/thickness to strengthen hands/wrist!

I bought these 1-pound dumbbells a few years ago when my daughter first started swimming and wanted light exercises at home to support her training. At around age five, she could hold them comfortably because the handles are narrow and the vinyl coating is soft and smooth, not rough or slippery. They never chipped, cracked, or lost their bright pink color even with regular use. They also stayed perfectly shaped with no dents or coating peeling. These are excellent for kids who are simply learning basic movements and coordination, not heavy strength training.

I accidentally ordered the tiny weight but the seller was great about returns. After getting pt for an injury, I have to progress slowly, so these lighter weights are great. The best part is the vinyl coating. I had another set of neoprene weights that were languishing in the basement since I was using weights at the gym (pre-injury). When I dug out the weights from the basement, I realized that the black dots on them were mold and that the mold was easily disturbed. Neoprene is not smooth and turned out to be a great petri dish for whatever scary species was growing on them. Carefully took them to the trash can and started over.

Because the reviews for this product have changed over time, I thought I would write a brief review to let you know how the product has evolved since being introduced on Amazon, from my perspective. First of all, for what they are, rubber covered hex shape dumbbells, they are exactly as described. I will list some of the complaints I have read and give the updates as currently experienced in the product as received one week ago. Number received. I received two dumbbells as described in the product description. Covering. I did not experience any discoloration or greasy oily substance on the surface of the dumbbells. Size of labeling on ends of dumbbells. The weight of the dumbbells, in my case 12 lbs., was clearly labelled in a large enough font to be clearly read. Odor. OK...here is where this product loses a star. I discounted the odor thing when I read the descriptions of others. DO NOT DISCOUNT THIS. If you have an aversion to strong odors, do NOT order these...they stink...a lot! I am hoping that the odor will dissipate over time and I will update my review if so. For now I have to keep them in a closet as they have managed to completely overwhelm the 2000 sq. ft. space where I workout. Buyer beware as far as the odor...wow! Other than the odor, these are great dumbbells. If I can manage to continue not to pass out from the stink of these dumbbells during my clean and presses, I'm sure I will be very happy with them.

These SPRI Deluxe Vinyl Dumbbells are pretty cool. They come in so many colors that make them stand out. Each dumbbell weighs 6 pounds, and you get two of them, so it's perfect for a beginner like me. The vinyl coating feels nice in my hands, and they're easy to grip. Overall, they're a solid choice for someone just starting to work out. I have been using them since 2014 and they haven't had any issues, just keep them clean and dry after each workout.

I have the 15# SPRI dumbells and wanted to increase them to 20#. I really like the thicker hand grips (covered in vinyl) which are much more comfortable than the ones with thinner metal grips. Excellent quality and design. I bought these "used" on Amazon (they appeared new - how do you wear out a dumbell?), so I saved almost 50%. A great value and a great product.

I use them to workout out arms. Very good quality.

At a time when dumbbells were out of stock in most stores and online (whatever was available was at a sky high price), I was happy to receive this product. Great Product

I I purchased these 4 pound dumbbells, and I absolutely love them. There’re a great weight, they feel great in your hands and they’re not slippery. I always have a good grip with them. I was actually surprised how much I I loved using these shiny, glossy, uber hard rubber weights I think I prefer this material over the opaque matte dumbbells they sell. Those ones are also good. But these glossy ones fit nicely and comfortably around your hands, great grip
