Replacement for original
The old one 65 years old, seen in the frontal picture, had only 2 wires and is a bi-metal thermostat. The new one, you can see, had 7 wires and completely different. Honeywell said the new one is a replacement for the old. By reading carefully and following directions that came with the new one and usi g a littlecommonsense, it works perfectly and even better than the old one. I had to remove 2 wires from the new one that were not needed and now have a 3 speed setting for the fan that as the temperature reaches the optimal set range, the fan speed will drop, if set on AUTO. Be sure to purchase the adapter plate for this thermostat so it can be easily mounted to the old wiring box.

Replaced 1970s Line Volt Thermostat
I installed this myself. it took a couple of hours since I spent a lot of time documenting and tracing wiring from old thermostat (only 3) to the motor, the temperature sensor, and line voltage, and studying the installation guide on this new thermostat. I called Honeywell support to ask a question before I started, the guy was of no help, except to say this unit would not work on my system, even though it was designed for my system (Line Volt thermostat on a fan coil) per the product description. The unit works well, wish it came in a programmable, but am happy. This is more accurate and gives me automatic or manual control of the fan speed of which I have a 3 speed motor. It is more expensive than a 24v unit found at a big box store, but those won't work in my environment without a step down transformer, which I was not interested in introducing.

Fantastice and looks nice, so much better than 50 year old thermostat
Works wonderful. I love --auto fan (3 speed) control, as it tends to run fan slower and thus more quiet. --ability to display actual temperature and setpoint is great. I chaecked the actual reading with thermometer, and it was accurate (but you can adjust +- temperature reading in settings) --no batteries, and saves settings when un-powered --very flexible, works with 1 supply system (hot/cold) or two (hot and cold), and can do auto detect (with addition of sensor), with or without water valve --can add detector for auto operation (run if someone in room), or can push button to indicate your leaving (and go to energy saving mode) --can direct wire to fan, not need to add other devices.

120 volt in line thermostat
this is line voltage thermostat 120 volt. no low voltage connections at all. the instruction are not clear on the amperage, this therm is rated at 6 amps. so if the fan on fan/coil unit is 7 amps this unit should not be insalled. the connecting terminal block did not work well with 14 ga thhn wire needs better connection screws here. if you run more amps than 6 amps you will need at least 2 additionl relays rated at 120v and at 20 amps to run a 2 speed fan and/or 3 relays to run a 3 speed fan. this thermostat will operate a 2 tube or 4 tube fan/coil heater about the only one that will. becareful to whom you speak to at honeywell they can be clueless about this product. also the recommed relays are obsolete i found ones that will work though they were hard to locate. brad

Great, basic, non-programmable thermostat for fan coil systems
I have three 2 pipe, fan coil, line voltage, 3 speed, manual changeover units in my condo in downtown Chicago. This replaces the ancient analog Honeywell thermostats perfectly and the only additional wire I needed to run from the HVAC unit was the neutral wire. The installation instructions are very clear and the options for changing settings are clear and easy for you to match your particular system. I only wish they were programmable.

Works well
Works great. Capped off the 2 wires that kept the fan on continuous run, so the old tstat had 9 wires. But ended up just using the 7. If anyone else a similar setup, figured I’d share the wiring diagram. Pretty self explanatory though.

A bit unsatisfied
I ordered three and one was defective. Two connection pins are too short, so unit does not work

but if you're just looking for a standard thermostat for a fan coil unit this works great. Easy to install
I've actually been very impressed with this. If you want the programmable feature, you'll want to spend the extra and get it, but if you're just looking for a standard thermostat for a fan coil unit this works great. Easy to install, and a lot of customization options if you read the info (which I found online). I was able to install them and set them up to start on fan-low very easily and quickly.

This new thermostat keeps the room at exactly the temperature it is set at. Wish I had replaced my old one long ago!

We tried to change our old thermostat in our bedroom. I live in a condo and unfortunately I cannot use a wifi thermostat. I have this thermostat in my living room and bought this for our bedroom. We installed this thermostat ourselves to save. So far so good !

I used to have the Honeywell T6575D1009, its old and no longer manufactured. this was a perfect replacement. Had an extra wire for common that connected to the fans but i just didn't connect it to anything and the system still works. bought 2 of these because i have 2 fan coil units
