Wish it were longer!
A fascinating little book. I am Choctaw, so itโs always interesting to learn of American Indian traditions. I believe the stories were presented with sincere intent. I live in the southwest now and, personally, I intend to take these stories to heart and respect their teachings. I do wish the book were longer, so Iโm happy I purchased the Kindle edition. Itโs picky, but I think the overuse of exclamation points could be avoided.

Couldn't put the book down.
Real life encounters make you want to experience it for yourself, then you stop and see how the author's are still affected and reconsider. Better them than me....

For some readers this could be dangerous
Focus on them and you might have them in your life.Seriously, give serious thought about baptizing yourself in this subject.I know the subject well. Be careful, and consider if you should engage the subject .

A very fascinating read
The Swansons have compiled a fascinating collection of accounts of people's encounters, in their own words, with bizarre and frightening phenomena associated with shapeshifters and Native American curses. The accounts come across as quite credible, and there is a level of weirdness that goes beyond that of even many of the so-called 'typical' cryptid encounters. In addition, the book brings up a matter of vital importance: Do not take (meaning steal) 'souvenirs' from Native American sacred sites. Even if there's no person around to see you take it. First off, it's extremely disrespectful. Secondly, you may find out, to your grief, that you'll wish you never had. This is not limited to Native sites in North America, either. It's known by many around the world to avoid taking even small rocks from Hawaii's Volcanoes Narional Park, lest you incur the wrath of Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire, and. find your life spiraling downward, and sometimes even worse. Your best bet when visiting any sacred site anywhere is to show proper respect and leave things as they are, as you would expect any guest to treat your own home.My only disappointment with this book was its fairly short length. These accounts are terrifying and sometimes deadly, but are also fascinating to read. I'm hoping the Swansons come out with a follow-up book on these subjects.

Informative & Very Interesting Read
I originally chose this book because of my interest in Native American culture. I also have watched the tv show 'Skinwalker Ranch" and was intrigued and wanted to learn more about what a Skinwalker is.I am pleased with with this book and it's individual accounts, it adds to the level of believability.I would recommend this book to whomever is interested in Native American legends, Skinwalker, the paranormal, and anyone looking to increase their understanding of things we cannot seem to fathom or believe.

Enjoyable
Creepy in a fun and exciting way. I could see a Stephen King horror from these stories. Hopefully, the author's have another one.

Awesome read!
Very good read, chapters are short and stories keep you interested in the subject. Pictures are nice also and give you some idea of the geography of the areas discussed.
