Ever since I bought it, it is attached to my keychain. Great product, the magnet is strong: suits for testing jewlery metal / getting that allen key that fell into your motorcycle again... It even comes with a tiny condom that protects the magnetic part, which proved useful. My only complain is the sky high price, but for a 1 time purchase it is fine, and trust me, this one will last

You may find this review amusing. I have a medical implant device (a St Jude spinal stimulator implant). From time-to-time, I need to turn the unit on and off when I am away from home. There is a controller, but it's not convenient to carry that device around. Plus, the risk of losing the controller is a very scary prospect, since this medical equipment is very expensive. However, the St Jude people made the device so that it can be turned on and off with a magnet! This is very cool. However, the St Jude people supply patients with a magnet the is really too large and heavy and to in your pocket. This is not so cool. The Rare Earth N52 Neodymium Pocket Keychain Magnet is the perfect solution. I have it on my keychain, so when I'm not home I can always turn my unit on and off. You just swipe the magnet across the battery/current generator -- implanted in my right butt cheek! -- and the stimulator turns off. Swipe it again and it turns back on. I just love this magnet!

I needed a small magnet for a very specialized application - to retrieve the puck screen from my espresso knock box. This is perfect for that. The puck screen must not have a lot of ferrous material in it, because the magnet is just strong enough to retrieve it. That's not to say that the magnet isn't strong - it is. I stick it to the side of my espresso machine for storage and it takes some effort to remove it. Highly recommend.
