I bought these to pick up trash in my yard (I live on a main street, just down the road from an urban middle school). It works very effectively for that; the slightly longer length is very necessary, saving the slight bending over needed with the other similarmproducts. I can pick things up while standing straight. They are also plenty sturdy enough to reach a bocks of crackers off a shelf (for example), but not enough to lift down a 16 oz can of tomatoes (as a contrary example).

These grabber tools are great quality and can pick up decent size objects and weight

My son and I used these for a day of road cleanup. They served that purpose well and were strong enough to pickup things that must have been a few lbs in weight. Don’t know about long term use yet, since we only used them one day so far.

So for years I have used the Unger grabber when I mow my yard with many large trees. Branches are coming down all year round. This handy tool picks up the branches with ease even big ones if you drag them over until you can grab them. Not too long ago I couldn't find any place selling Ungers so I went on line and there were grabbers galore. I noticed that Amazon was selling two for the same price as I usually paid for one Unger grabber and they looked like the same type at least on the picture. So I took a chance and bought the two. Big surprise these were as good as or better. Now on all of the grabbers I've had over the years the rubber covering the tips gets ripped but no surprise since I really abuse them by picking up all kinds of tree limbs. So highly recommend these grabbers they are great. The tips are fitted over the metal end pieces ;maybe if they were hot coated they would last longer. Love these grabber's and saves a lot of on and off trips on the mower.

I now own four of these suckers! I can items off the top pantry shelf with ease (NO LADDERS). I can also pick up a little flat toothpick, lint or a scrap of paper after I emptied the shredder on the first try. ( You know what I mean, stand on your head or get out the vaccum.) My latest thrill? My electronic front loader dryer bit the dust from a power surge so I replaced it with a manual knob. Losing that drawer base made a real difference. Back on my head again chasing socks as it is a large cacacity and pretty deep. I now keep one in the laundry room to reach all the way in the back of the dryer to get those sneaky socks. I am going to buy them for gifts. It is something I never thought about and now can't imagine doing without. Only one problem for your family, they will not have any videos of you tumbling over to send to Funniest Home Videos!

Initially ordered from a vendor who #1, never sent my item after 2 weeks and #2, never answered my query as to wether it ever would. So I searched again and found this gem. Identical in every way except colored shaft. Very pleased.

Not the grabber it is designed after, I have one of those but they were out of stock and this looked the same. It's not the same, but it is a decent knockoff. Sturdy, not quite as well assembled and rattles a lot more inside.In their defense, it doesn't say that it is the other brand on the product itself, only in the online description.

These work as promised, but the squeeze style grip gets uncomfortable quickly and the grip isn't that strong for glass bottle and jars. Not a good choice for grabbing stuff from over head cabinets unless it's pretty lightweight.
