Perfect for local runs!
I finally joined the "smartphone" crowd last year, and needed a way to carry my Samsung Galaxy S3 when running in order to better track my runs. After a bit of online research, I placed an order for the Amphipod AirFlow Lite Waistpack.I normally run 3 days per week, totalling 10-20 miles per week - depending on what I'm training for. I have a 29-30" waist, so I was a little concerned about fit.I've been using the Amphipod for over a year now, and I'm happy to report no issues. The capacity is all I've needed for my smartphone + impact protection. There is a neoprene divider splitting the pocket into two sections, and I'll sometimes place ID cards, individual keys, and such in the outer pocket if needed. My Gymboss interval timer clips perfectly onto the belt, as does a small OC spray to deter aggressive canines. If I need to carry more than that, It's usually because I'm running far enough that I need to carry water - in which case, I grab the Camelback instead. I'd call it the perfect minimalist pack for any run that doesn't require carrying water.I was a little concerned about taking my smartphone running in the rain, but after multiple wet excursions I can now do so with confidence. If it's raining, I wrap my smartphone in a ziploc bag before placing in in the Amphipod - it will need the protection when you take it out of the Amphipod to start/stop timers or make other entries. Each time, the phone and bag emerge from the inner neoprene pocket perfectly dry. Perspiration has likewise not been an issue.I tend to wear the Amphipod over my running pants, so I can't speak to its comfort against skin. I occasionally have to re-adjust the belt tension in between runs. I run with the pocket at the small of my back and buckle up front, all covered beneath a running shirt. I've had no bouncing, comfort, or chafing problems wearing the Amphipod on runs of up to 10-15 miles.I don't run with headphones/ear buds, so I can't speak to such use. With over 500 miles of use/abuse in all 4 seasons, my Amphipod AirFlow Lite Waistpack shows no signs of wear and still fits the way it did the day I first buckled it on. Highly recommended!

This is a good waist pack
This is a good waist pack. The stretchy belt is adjustable and ensures a snug, bounce-free fit. The buckle is of good quality and secure so you will not have to worry about it coming undone. The pouch is made of neoprene to protect any items you may be carrying and covered in mesh to provide ventilation between the pouch and you. I have tried wearing it against my bare skin and it is comfortable: no chafing or uncomfortable rubbing. It is towards the minimal end of the spectrum however: there is a single zippered pocket and enough room for three, maybe four power bars. One or two if you wanted to carry your phone (I have an iphone 4 and would have to remove the case in that situation, however) On top of both situations, there would be enough room for a car key and ID to slide in. I would not recommend over stuffing of the pouch since the zipper, although it seems solid and of good quality, is smaller and not what I would call "heavy duty". Overall, it is a very good pack for shorter runs or race day (it's light, low profile, and comfortable to wear, even on bare skin). If you want to have plenty of room for things such as keys, wallet, fuel, and phone, then you may want to look for something larger. If you only need to carry a card, one or two keys, a phone (w/o case) and a couple (2 max) power bars, then this case should work just fine. I've added a photo to give an idea of how large the pouch is.

For Phone and Keys
I bought one of these many years ago and I still find it very useful for running, but the stretch had gone away. The only thing I like less than the last version is the latch is harder to use. Perhaps they redesigned the latch to make it harder to accidentally open it. In any case I really like this for running!

Samsung Note 2 fits but just barely
I bought this to carry my Samsung Note 2. With no case the Note 2 fits but just barely. The issue in the top to bottom dimension of the waistpack. In other words its the width of the phone that causes the tight fit. If you have a bulky case on your Note 2 forget about it, Its not going to fit.I just did a 4 mile test run and it has no bounce issue. The straps have just the right amount of elastic to them and they are wide enough for a comfortable fit. I have a "iFitness" brand and this one rides about the same but it can carry a lot more.If you have a ultra slim case or no case it will fit with just enough room left over for a few bills, a credit card and a driver license. Then again what else do you need.

Comfortable, inconspicuous, fits the essentials without being bulky.
After resisting the idea of wearing a fanny pack on my runs, I gave in on my wife's request that I carry my phone on long/remote runs in case I roll my ankle on a trail or something and need help. I tried an armband when I started running but found it uncomfortable. This pack also allows me to just use my phone for music and ditch my old ipod nano, which I had been clipping to my shorts but sort of bounced around. This pack is quite comfortable and doesn't bounce. I wear it around my shorts waistband (so it doesn't rub on bare skin) and it's pretty much covered by the tail of my shirt. It's inconspicuous and doesn't look super dorky. Very nicely fits my iPhone 5s, my car key fob and house key (I leave my key ring in the car) and money clip with ID, credit card and a few bills, in case my body needs to be identified or I feel like buying a post-run snack at the cafe near the trailhead. Hopefully the latter.I can't speak to the water bottle attachments that are sold separately but clip to this belt. For sizing info, I have a 32" waist. The waistband is towards its upper limit but still has another couple inches to give in adjustments and could stretch further as well.
