I used it to sand a door I was renovating and it managed a number of passes. It’s probably do 20 - 30 minutes continuous use and is quite powerful. It’s not a Pro tool though and if you want serious use get a Milwaukee Dewalt or Makita with a bigger battery **Q: Can it be used on gates and fences** A: It definitely can be. It’s quite powerful and you can use coarse grit sand paper with it. However, the only caveat would be that the battery isn’t huge and the run time consequently isn’t super long. Maybe 25 minutes.
