Excellent weather station for the investment!
It’s a great weather station and a value for the money. Easy to set up and to read at a distance. I love the plug in power with battery back up. Keeps the display on for easy reading at night or in the dark. Remote sensor works well and even has a display on the sending unit which is unique for this type of weather station.

So far, so good...
I say, "So far, so good", but I just set it up, so... :) ***The Good*** As soon as I unboxed it, I was impressed by it, it was larger than I had imagined. Immediately I placed the batteries inside both the indoor and outdoor compartments, then the fireworks began, well, I mean, the REALLY PRETTY COLORS came on! I like the fact that the numbers and letters on it are large, it makes it REALLY EASY to see! Very nice, especially when compared to my older one (different brand) that I used since 2016, it finally gave up the ghost. It didn't take any time at all for it to recognize the outdoor sensor, on my old one, it took several minutes, so technology is a good thing. It looks like a computer monitor screen, it looks REALLY NICE! _________________________________________________ ***The 'Not So Good'*** (But not really, 'bad') (1) When hanging by a screw that I have in the wall, the inside unit wants to swing when touched, which is NOT GOOD at all, it is NOT SECURE, it just 'barely' hangs on the screw, so, if anyone, especially a clumsy or young person that has too much energy comes along and pushes against it too hard, well, it could sure fall. (This does have some somewhat flimsy 'legs' that pull away from the back like a picture frame has on the backside, so if you are one that prefers it to be on a table or desk, that should suffice IF there are no cats, dogs, or young kids around) I always have some Velcro on-hand, so I placed 'one side' on the back of of the unit, along with the 'other side' of the Velcro STILL STUCK ON IT, then I positioned it on the aforementioned screw, then FIRMLY pressed them BOTH against the wall to ensure that the sticky Velcro is adhered. This is very easy, I'm sure that I make it sound harder than it actually is. Although I don't feel that this is a good design at all from the factory, it is hanging there firm enough that it should not ever be a problem after using Velcro. ***(When changing batteries, you need to unhinge the upper part that hangs on the screw, then gently, not forcefully, pull away from the wall to separate the Velcro)*** _________________________________________________ (2) The outdoor sensor received the same treatment, I placed the Velcro on the backside of it, then pressed it onto my outside wall underneath the eve of the house. I already had a cut-out from a clear plastic bottle (Maybe it was an old ketchup bottle?) that I cut to fit over the sensor to protect it from any rain that 'could possibly' get on it. (This is only recommended, you do not have to do that, it worked for years on my other one) _________________________________________________ (3) The TAB on the back that is where you would grab to lift the battery compartment lid is odd. They expect you to hang it by a screw, I assume, so there is a small opening on the back of the sensor. The TAB I mentioned prevents the sensor from laying flat against the wall, which is a crazy design. When I placed the Velcro on it, it sticks fine to the lid, but when you press it against the wall FIRMLY, that TAB prevents it from being secure against the wall. I could have removed 'some' of the TAB, but I didn't, just be aware of this in case you want it to lay flat against that wall. If your preference is you like the screw method best, it will work, but, a slight knock on it and it will fall onto the ground, hence the Velcro. Be forewarned! There is more good than any bad, so don't let me scare you. I cannot really state what this can do until after I actually use it, that takes time, and when and if something on it goes awry, I will most definitely return here and let y'all know. My first impression of it is, I REALLY LIKE IT! Hopefully it will live up to that. :) (11-17-2024)

***STOPPED WORKING AT 5 MONTHS Works nice, lots of information.
***update*** I purchased on November 22, 2025 and the screen went black March 25, 2026. Checked everything, just stopped working. It's nice, lots of info, seems accurate. One drawback is, it has to be at the precise angle to be able to fully see the screen. Otherwise its too dark. Like when you look at a big screen TV from the side. Temp is easy to see, but under that in blue is humidity inside and out, that's impossible to see unless you walk right up.

Great product
Very happy with this purchase. Easy set up. Colorful and easy to read. It has all the information on it that I could possibly need. I love that I have the option to plug it in or use batteries. I can place it anywhere because of this feature.

Colorful, easy to read
Received this weather station about a week ago. Proceeded to set it up which was relatively easy. I put the little outside transmitter unit underneath the open porch eave and hung it on a wire so it would dangle verses being up against the house wall. Unit seems to perform well and has a very nice easy to read colorful screen. Only distracting item is that the “forecast box” blinks all the time. Instructions say that will sync in a week or so. We shall see.

Nice but not accurate…
This is a nice weather station that is easy to setup and is quite viewable from a distance but there is one issue, and I consider it significant. That issue is that the indoor temperature has never been correct, it has consistently read higher than the actual room temperature by 3-4°F. The instructions state to give it several days to auto-calibrate. Well, it’s been nearly a year and no such ‘auto-calibration’ has occurred. The remote temperature/humidity sensors work without any issues. It’s a shame that a device at this price point, and as nice, has this issue.

Easy to setup and read. High quality weather station.
We live in the far Northern part of the midwest, and with all the terrible weather going on around the country, it seemed like I was always looking for my phone to check the weather conditions. I decided to look for a weather station for the house that would display the current temp outside along with humidity. I was looking for something easy to set up that would sit on a countertop and give us the weather stats whenever we wanted them. I liked this unit because: - It has a big display which makes it easy to read from a distance. - You can add batteries (not supplied) for backup and it plugs into a normal AC outlet for normal operation - Very easy to set up. I took it out of the box, read the directions (which seemed easy to understand), plugged it in, and it began searching for one of its programmed sources of weather information. Bingo! Found a source and started displaying the weather conditions for my location. - It also displays the current time and date which I did not have to set up. - I like the display which shows both outside weather conditions and inside temp/humidity. It is colorful and looks great sitting on our countertop. My only other comment involves the wireless sensor that you place somewhere outside your house. It also has a display that shows the outside temp and humidity. Not sure why you need a display on the outside sensor, since it will probably be located someplace that might not be readily accessible. I have mine in a shady spot off the front porch under an eve so that I can't just go outside and look at the display which is small enough that you have to be fairly close to read it. So, I guess it is a nice to have but not necessary depending on where you install the sensor. After using this for a week, I have no complaints. It works great, agrees pretty closely with our local TV weather, and was reasonable in cost. Update: I have to change my rating slightly. I have had this weather station for a while now and it is still a nice device. But I live in far North of Illinois, so Winter gets pretty cold up here. We have had a nice warm streak but recently the temperature has gotten down into the low 20's and high teens and the cold has caused an issue with the remote sensor. At around 20 degrees outside, the inside base station lost the remote signal and was just displaying - - for the outside temp and humidity. I thought maybe the battery on the remote unit was low, so I put a new battery in it. But still the base could not find the remote sensor and just displayed the - - where the readings were supposed to be. I tried resetting the base by taking out it's backup battery and unplugging it. Then putting the batteries back and plugging it in. No dice. So, I brought the remote sensor into the house and set it next to the base station and waited. After about 10 minutes, the remote warmed up and the base unit picked up the remote's signal and started working again. I tried putting the remote back outside in the cold and the same thing happened. After about a half hour outside, the remote's signal quit and the inside base station was again displaying - - for the temp and humidity. So, this time, I brought it back in, waited for the signal to return from the remote, and put the remote out in the garage where it stays warmer - no lower than 30 degrees. And the base and remote have worked fine since. When it warms up outside, I will put the sensor back out. But fair warning - It appears that this unit is sensitive to cold temps and, at least my remote, quit working when the temp gets around 20 degrees and below. So, if you live further South where the temps don't get so cold, this unit should work fine for you. This product has amazing distance when the remote is working. I have a brick house and the base unit is on the East side of the house next to the far wall. The garage is on the west side of the house and the remote signal has to travel through a brick wall, go outside, and travel through another brick wall to get to the base. And since I put the remote in the warmer garage for now, it works fine. I like the quality of the unit - feels like it is worth the money. And the display is colorful and you can set how bright you want it to be. If it wasn't for the cold weather issue, it would definitely still be a 5-star review. Update on 12/13/24: I contacted the seller regarding my issue with the remote not working in very cold temperatures and the seller got right back to me. They are very easy to work with and solved my issue by sending me a new remote at no cost. I also didn't have to return the old remote that had issues in cold temps. The new remote works great in our very cold weather right now! I am including a photo showing that the remote is working fine sitting outside in 9 degree (F) weather. Earlier this morning, it was only 1 degree (F) showing on the base and it was up to 9 degrees when I took the picture. The seller was very gracious and I got the replacement remote in just a few days. It works great and I am a happy buyer and would definitely recommend buying any product that the seller has on the Amazon store.

Absolutely Perfect Gift for My Weather-Obsessed Grandson!
I bought the Newentor Weather Station as a gift for my young grandson, who is absolutely fascinated by weather, forecasts, moon phases, and all things meteorology. From the moment he unwrapped it, he was over the moon excited ... his eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning all over again! This little weather station is incredibly impressive. The large, clear display is easy for him to read, and he loves checking the indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity levels, and the detailed weather forecast with the sun/cloud icons. The moon phase display and alarm clock features are bonuses he keeps showing off to everyone. The backlight is adjustable so he can keep it on his nightstand without it being too bright. The outdoor sensor works flawlessly -we have it set up outside and the wireless connection is strong and reliable. He’s already tracking daily trends, checking the “comfort” level, and even set his own alarm with the built-in clock. It’s educational, fun, and feels like a real professional weather tool, but kid-friendly and not overwhelming. The build quality is solid, it looks sleek and modern in his room, and setup was super simple. If you have a child or grandchild who loves science, weather, or just gadgets that actually do something useful, this is the gift that keeps on giving. He hasn’t stopped talking about it and playing with it since it arrived. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time! Highly, highly recommend... 10 stars if I could give them!

Fool proof purchase. Achat sans le moindre souci.
For the record, I currently own 3 AcuRite weather stations and 2 same Newentor weather stations as well. This permits me to evaluate to the best of my knowledge these handy devices. Concerning the Newentor's, they exceeded my expectations considering the affordable price. Take note that at precisely 1H00 AM, 2H00 AM and 3H00 AM, the weather station will synchronize (blacked out display) with the atomic time. This process takes exactly 7 minutes. Viewing the detailed and colorful display will depend on the angle of view. This is normal with all makes of weather stations. Longevity and reliability is being closely monitored and now have 3 months of use on both of them. Be sure to place sensor in spot were no precipitations and direct sunlight reaches it. I personally use a just 1 sandwich bag with rubber bands to protect it from the elements. Humidity readings might affected, but this can be compensated by checking the weather channel reading, and add or subtract for conversion on your weather station. Replace batteries every year, otherwise if they leak, they will destroy your sensor. Only complaints, are the numbers for the time and date are small, and flashing clouds could be annoying. Personally, I got used too it and really not such a big issue on the long run. Personnellement, je me suis finalement habitué. Toutefois, veuillez considérer toutes les informations transmis sur ce "grand" écran. André.

Poor Customer Service, good weather station
Only got 3 stars because of the service, not the product. It’s a great weather station but they sent the wrong mains cable. I needed one for the UK. I tried contacting them but got no response. I kept the station because I can use it with batteries.

I found it difficult to set up. It sometimes, for no apparent reason, goes black even while connected to power. The temperature indications are good. The moon phases appear inaccurate. Did not seem to connect to daylight saving

Great unit overall but sensor mounting is a bit flimsy
I picked up the Newentor Weather Station Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer because I wanted to know the outside temperature at a glance, day or night. This weather station does that job very well. I haven't had it long enough to judge the accuracy of the forecasting part of the unit as that takes up to 7 days to calibrate itself. I understand why so that's not an issue. I was unable to get the unit to set the time automatically with the WWVB Automatic Time Signal so I set the time zone and time settings manually and all is well. My only complaint and where I think they could have done a much better job is the mounting of the remote sensor. The battery cover of the remote unit has a tab on the back that allows the remote sensor to stand up on it's own, great if you're using it indoors and want to stand it up on a shelf. But to try and hang it up outside in a secure manner, frankly it's flimsy in my opinion. As they provide it, it would simply hang from a single screw much like a picture hook, and in a high wind storm I could see it just blowing off the screw far too easily. My solution was to cut off the reat tab so I had a smooth back on the sensor, then make up a little wooden cradle that I securely mounted to my exterior wall up under the eaves sheltered from the elements and direct sunlight. As you can see from my photos, the unit now just slides in and is held securely. I notched the bottom of the cradle to the air holes are not covered in any way and I get accurate temperature readings. Everything works fine now and I'm satisfied it's held securely, yet I can remove it to change batteries with ease. Overall, other than the remote sensor mounting, it seems to be a great little unit for home.
