The pockets where your skates go have a lining at the bottom to prevent your blades from ripping the bag. I wish the straps were more adjustable because even at it’s longest length it’s a bit snug if you wanted to wear it across your body, but for a child it would be perfect. That’s not a big deal though and other than that I have no complaints. Also my skates are a Jackson’s women’s size 8W with a 10 inch blade for reference. With my soft guards on the blades I still have about 3 inches of wiggle room at the bottom of the skate pockets. I think the pockets can accommodate a larger boot and blade especially without guards on but the length of the blade is what’s gonna matter most. But not, it DOES NOT fit roller skates. These are meant for roller blades or ice skates.
