From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes a new romance about trading secrets, breaking the rules, and playing for keeps. My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars. Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie. I got drunk. And picked up a stranger. Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place. She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her. Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team. And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter. Review: Couldn't Wait for King's Book!!!!! - I couldn't wait for King's book because he was such an interestingly weird character, so straight laced and proper which is NOT at all what you expect from a hockey player!!!! I think this was the best book out of the 3, which is saying a lot!!!! Loved it! We met Ryan Kingston in Rook's story. He's the goalie for the Seattle NHL team, extremely straight laced, doesn't drink alcohol but milk, and had a steady girlfriend for several years. Never had a 1 night stand and was always a gentleman. All that kinda changes when his family drops a bomb of a secret on him and he meets Queenie in a bar. Queenie was such a wonderful lead female character!!! I want to be her friend and hang out! She doesn't have the best self esteem, due to a absentee mother and poor choices in men. She does have a wonderful father, but she feels like she's a burden to him. Mostly due to her selfish mother telling her she is! Really didn't like her!! She's keeping secrets of her own, which one big one comes back to bite her in the ass! These 2 together were amazing!!! Opposites in a lot of ways, but similar in so many others. Queenie brough King to life and he brought calm to her storm. Perfect!! It was great to visit with Rook, Bishop, Lainey, Stevie, and Violet. It was also a bonus to get to know Alex and Violet's kids! They were such a wonderful addition to the story! Of course, there were the characters that you love to hate - Corey Slater and Sissy!! Lord, they were just horrible humans! And King's family was interesting, to say the least. I loved this book! It was fun, made me laugh, had me swooning, had some very HOT scenes, and just the right amount of angst. I do think it was the best of the series, and that's saying a lot since the first 2 were awesome!! Review: 4.5 Stars!! Each book in this series gets better & better. - I loved this story. It was actually the original one I wanted to read but, of course, couldn’t just start in the middle of the series. Boy am I glad I did! This series was heart warming bit AF stëamy scenes that 🤯 my mind as Helena Hunting stories do every time. I wasn’t too sure about Kingston having his own book. Those Boy Scouts don’t traditionally do it for me. I should have known better! Helena wove such a tale that I loved his personality as we REALLY got to know him here. He was straight laced, yes but also protective, patient and caring. He didn’t let anger control him this giving him a healthy emotional age. Then there is Queenie. The exact opposite of King and I felt so bad for her throughout. She was emotionally abused by more than one person and looking for love in all the wrong places until she stumbled on this hot drunk guy at the bar. The sparks flew immediately and never let up. Their chemistry was SMOKIN hot 🥵 and grew into so much more than a physical thing. They truly balanced each other out and I loved that about them. I read and listened of course. Stella Bloom and Jason Clarke are 2 of my favorites so listening to them was no hardship. They have perfect cadence and inflection. Also giving this amazing book an extra boost to the next level when listening. I was never bored. All in all I loved this story. Only needed a bit more wrapping up with the ex and the mom. Other than that? A perfect 10 in my book. I will always one click Helena Hinting books as I know they will be amazing per the proof of all the books I’ve read prior! 🥰

“I see you, Queenie. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not worthy.”
Attention all sports romance lovers, this is the series for you! If you love a heroine who’s a bit of a chaotic jumble and a hero with an alpha outside and a soft, squishy, big-hearted inside, you'll fall helmet over hockey skates for Queenie Masterson and Ryan “King" Kingston. These two had a brief encounter, and it's quite the shock when King reports in to start pre-season training and learns that the girl from his very out of character one night stand is his general manager's assistant and daughter. Queenie is one of my favorite types of heroines. Her internal dialogue, influenced by some pivotal people in her life, has made her believe that she's a worthless human being and will never amount to anything. So it’s no wonder she leaves a lot of things unfinished and runs when things get hard. Why bother trying to succeed when she feels set up to fail? Then King sweeps into her life and, other than her father, he's the only person who sees down to the heart of her and realizes what an amazing person she is and how much she has to offer. And this guy, he encourages her, cherishes her, sticks with her through everything, and helps her see herself through his eyes. *swoon* Isn’t that the kind of guy we all wish for? I love this book so hard, and everything about it! From King's outrageous family and the bickering and bantering between teammates, to an anti-hero you'll love to hate, it's all amazing. (And I can’t help wondering if Mr. Anti-hero will get his own book, because that redemption would be epic!) With perfect comedic timing and a nice dose of steam, it's the heart of this book, and the way it will manipulate and play yours, that makes this book such a phenomenal, memorable read. If you've read this author, you're already one clicking this one and, if you haven’t, you’re going to want to fix that. You need King and Queenie in your life! Fun and flirty, sexy and sweet, and hilarious and heartfelt, you absolutely don’t want to pass this one up!

Ryan Kingston stole my heart..
“There’s no place I’d rather be than the eye of your storm.” A Secret for a Secret (All In Series, Book 3) Author: Helena Hunting Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Ryan Kingston is a by-the-rules type of guy, he has only ever been drunk a few times in his life. So it is out of character for him to be alone drinking at the bar when Queenie, a self-proclaimed walking storm, decides to join him. They are both looking to drink about and hopefully forget their problems. One thing leads to the other and the night turns into shared secrets, some heat between the sheets, a numberless note, and a pair of ripped underwear. It is a night they both can’t shake from their memories, no matter how hard they try. Sometime later, King, an NHL player, is attending a team meeting when the GM’s new assistant walks in. When she turns around, it is none other than the Queenie he hasn’t been able to get out of his head. Not only is Queenie the new assistant to the GM, but she is also his daughter, rendering her completely off-limits. King and Queenie agree to keep things platonic to avoid further conflict with Queenie’s dad and the team. But what happens when King knows he should stay away from Queenie but simply cannot stand to be without her anymore? The relationship between King and Queenie develops into something more than friends and is met with many struggles. Can they weather the storm together? This book is unbelievably captivating! It is so hard not to fall for Ryan Kingston. He is such an attentive and compassionate boyfriend to Queenie even when she doesn’t make it easy on him. Queenie’s character development in the story has you rooting for her from the very first page. You can really feel her internal struggle with not feeling like she is enough. Their polar opposite personalities develop into banter that will have you laughing out loud, it is impossible not to love these two. We do also get appearances from the previous characters in the All in series and the Pucked series in this book, keeping the group dynamic that is loved in this Helena Hunting hockey world. family dysfunction red flags
If you think that a mid 20s brother getting a 17 yo brother stumbling drunk so they injure themselves while feeding them something they were allergic to a hilarious story, you might really like this book. And if you consider that same brother, who is drunk and inappropriate all the time and has their family keeping them from stumbling into things or getting into trouble comic relief, you might love this book. Or you might see co-dependence and unhealthy relationships and disagree with the FMC when she thinks "this is what a mother's love is." There were parts of this story that were well done, including dealing with her father, MMCs supervisor, forbidding them to date. I liked that MMC actually just went ahead and talked to the dad. The couple was generally good together though he continues to be Dudley Doright for the whole book. I am giving 3 stars for the good stuff but won't re-read due to the waving red flags making it hard to believe that things will be good for them forever, at least, not without heavy duty counseling. Which is not addressed.

Highly entertaining!
A Secret for a Secret is the third book in the All In series. Helena Hunting has become well-known in the Rom-Com genre and rightfully so. You can always count on good humor to go along with a great story! Ryan "King" Kingston plays for the NHL's Seattle team and to put it mildly, he's got a crazy family. He's just learned some life altering news, so he does what he rarely does and heads to a bar to have some drinks. What he doesn't anticipate is taking a woman home with him and even beyond that, he doesn't ever expect to see her again. But you know how that goes... Queenie Masterson is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She's just recently lost her job and decided to move closer to her father, Jake, who is the GM of the Seattle NHL team. She ends up becoming his assistant and while she's good at her job, it seems that chaos tends to follow her. When King and Queenie realize that they were each other's one-night stand from weeks before things become complicated. They have chemistry like no other, but because they are both affiliated with the team, and Queenie promised her dad that she wouldn't date players, things hit a dead end before they can reconnect. Will that stop them though? King is amazing. He's quirky, but I loved that about him. He is so down to earth, caring, considerate and he's definitely a rule follower. The way he treats Queenie and stands by her, defends her and loves her is awesome. Queenie is short on self esteem and rightfully so based on things that have gone on in her life. I enjoyed seeing her grow as the book went on when she was surrounded by the right people. Another aspect that I loved is that we got to see people from previous books, including Alex and Violet, which is always wonderful. This was highly entertaining and I look forward to what Helena Hunting has to offer us next!

A Secret Once Revealed is No Longer Secret
Sharing a secret assumes trust in the person to whom the secret is passed. And when the two people doing the sharing are total strangers, unlikely to ever meet again, the mantle of secrecy provides added protection. When NHL hockey player Ryan Kingston, aka King, and Queenie Masterson, who’s trying to “find herself” meet in a bar, both are on the way to blind drunk oblivion. King is a buttoned up, inveterate rule follower whereas Queenie is impetuous and spontaneous, seemingly going whichever way the wind blows. At 24, she’s still trying to find her true path in life. They couldn’t be more opposite. The secrets they shared are a common bond so when King woke up with a killer hangover he was more than disappointed to find only a Post-it note and her panties but no way to contact her. Several weeks later in a pre-season team meeting King again sees the elusive Queenie only to discover she’s the GM’s daughter. Oops! The fallout from their one-night stand could be problematic. But not for King. He wants to pursue their relationship. Even though their shared passion is off the charts in hotness, Queenie is concerned about her lack of independence and always having to fall back on her dad to bail her out but she’s adamant in her desire to continue what she and King have started. He makes her feel things as never before and she’s never had a more skilled and attentive bed partner. But can they have a future together with all the baggage she’s lugging around? Helena Hunting’s writing is an enrichment to the romance genre. Her plots are riveting and unique, never formulaic, with complex characters that feel like old friends by the time you finish the story. “A Secret for a Secret” is the third book in the “All In” series and, in my opinion, the best so far and I loved both Books one and two. In this story we get up close and personal with the idea that some people are not fit for parenting and the damage they can inflict on a child’s self-image. Such was the case with Queenie’s mother. Juxtaposed with that is King’s rowdy, unruly and unconventional family. Turns out his mother is actually his sister. Nah! Ah! Ah! Ah! If you want that explained you’ll have to get your own copy of “A Secret for a Secret”. Five stars.

5 Stars doesn't do this book justice!!
Ryan Kingston is the guy girls dream about. Polite and sweet in public but can get down and dirty in private. He’s the polar opposite of Queenie. She’s way more impulsive, she’s an act now think later kind of girl. One night, the two meet, and both spilled secrets to each other that they’ve never shared with anyone else. After all, they’re complete strangers, never to see each other again, and after that one explosive night, neither contacted the other again. Until 6 weeks later, when Queenie shows up with her father to work, her father that happens to be the general manager of the Seattle Hockey team, the same team Kingston plays goalie for. Neither was prepared to see each other, but now that they’re back in each other’s lives are they willing to take the risk? This has turned into one of my favorite series by Helena. A Secret for A Secret is a great addition to the All In Series, it’s full of humor and is such a heartwarming story. But don’t let that fool you, it is STEAMY, and King will have you swooning over him in a heartbeat. Helena absolutely nailed this story, and I loved that Queenie brought out a different side of King, but that he also brought out a different side of her. They were the perfect coupling and the true definition of opposites attract. I will also say, I LOVED that we got to catch up with Rook and Lainey, and Stevie and Bishop, as well as Violet and Alex. I think that’s what I love the most about all of Helena’s books and this one too, we get to catch up with past characters, and they truly play an integral role in current books. I’m ready for more Helena in 2020!

Muy muy recomendable
En general los tres libros de la serie me han gustado, pero este ha sido el que más me ha gustado, una historia muy romántica. Supongo que el cuarto libro tratará de Jack y Hanna, estoy deseando leerlo!

Nawww a sweet story!
It’s been so long since I’ve read a cinnamon scroll :) This was a nice story, steam was long and most faded out. The OW drama was quickly rectified and the extended family was fun.

Chaos and calm
King is the calm one, Queenie is the chaotic one. But they are perfect for each other. King is so balanced and poised, it's actually beautiful how he handles all problems...I actually felt very happy to read this book. Not just because how King is calm, but also how Queenie finally knows what to do and faces her insecurities.

All In
"I feel like I’ve finally found my person. The one who won’t try to tame my chaos but will let me live in it and help me balance my impulsiveness with stability. He’s yin and I’m yang. He’s sugar and I’m salt." This is an all-round good story. It has a little of everything I look for in a romance novel. It stirs your emotions and has you rooting for the couple from the start. There’s some angst, a dash of ‘what did I just read’, enough Awe! to make you swoon, a soupcon of hilarity and plenty to make you fan yourself. There is ex drama, family drama, & a forbidden relationship. Ryan Kingston ‘King’ is the archetypal good boy. Respectful, considerate, teetotal, polite. He’s never met a rule that shouldn’t be followed. Queenie, on the other hand, is impulsive, sassy, chaotic, confused, worrier. She the hot mess. Lacks self-confidence Both are passionate. Though only one of them is following their passion. After a secret is exposed King uncharacteristically decides to head to a bar to drown his problems, though not very successfully until Queenie lends a hand. Leading to a one-night stand which is totally out of character for King. She’s gone in the morning, for a disappointed King life goes on unchanged, until the first practice of the season. King discovers that not only is Queenie his GMs new assistant, she’s also his only daughter. Queenie would quite like to hide from the situation; King, true to his nature takes the first opportunity to confront the situation head on. They are the perfect foil to each other. King brings stability to Queenie, Queenie mayhem/chaos to King. “She’s my raging rapids, and I’m her calm lake at dawn. We’re good. Perfect” Secrets of any size can cause problems, hence why we hide them. There are secrets aplenty, some inconsequential, others that are life changing in their enormity A shy little flower in the story will melt your heart. ARC from the author in return for an honest review. I have also purchased this book.
