Expecting good things.
I’ll be honest I have always used automotive oil in small engines and generators with a couple exceptions and knock on wood never had a problem, but I saw this and decided it’s time to use the right oil. I’ll assume it’s got whatever oil needs because I am not a fluids engineer or chemist, but I will say I like the company’s philosophy. They seem really passionate about oil and keep racking up OEM approvals. Good enough for me. I will say though MOBIL 1 synthetic according to a quick search has about the same zinc content and is cheaper. So I’m assuming there is something else special about this oil which makes it better for small air cooled engines. Other things I like are the bottle with its built in spout and the price is right compared to other air cooled small engine oils.

Quality is worth the cost.
I'm a big triax fan. I'm currently running this oil in a generator I use to charge my battery system after a palm tree took out my power lines and as a backup when I install my solar panels. I'm also currently running their oil in my ecodiesel and their fluid in my duromax with an Allison transmission. Eventually I'll convert all my vehicles and equipment to whatever triax has available.

Smells like glue paste
This doesn't smell like any oil I have smelled before. As a kid, we had glue paste in preschool, yes sometimes we would eat it. It was good, and this oil smells just like that. Sorry, I haven't actually put it in my lawn mower yet but it got good reviews and it's one of the few "synthetic" SAE30 oils available. I've already tried Amsoil 10W30 and my mower didn't like it. I've got Royal Purple sae30 in it now but once I drain that out I'll be adding the Triax. I'll write another review on it later. I am currently running the Triax srt 5w30 in my Ecoboost F150 and can't decide how I feel about it yet. However, the engine is not running more quiet like a lot of reviews claimed. I'm very in tune with my truck and if I had to say, I would think this oil runs on the lighter side of a 30 weight. **UPDATE** It's been 2.5 years since I started using the Triax 30w oil in my mower, and I gotta tell you, I like it. It still smells like glue but it works well. My mower actually does run smoother and quieter and doesn't smoke. Put it this way, I like it enough that I took the time to come back, 2.5 years later, to update my review. I will continue to use Triax in my mower, however, my Ford didn't like the 5w30, but the wife's Camry liked the 0w20. Weird, I know.
