It feels really good right out of the box. It's oval, and the grooves in the handle are deeper than expected which has a good grip to it. It has a shellac on it that seems like it will hold up. The weight is actually light overall biased towards the end you hit the tire with, making it seem really functional. Unless it breaks in a week, I think it's worth the $14.

Great accessory to keep you safe on the road. Use to thump your tires to check inflation or for any other appropriate use that may present itself. I keep mine behind my front seat tucked inside a pillow case. Just looks like a rag lying on the floor. Pillow case protects the rich wood finish from nicks and scrapes.Keeping it in a pillow case will also save you from explaining the tire thumper if prying eyes should see it when checking out your car interior from the outside. All they see is a rag your car's floor. It's just a tire thumper... but certain folks may misunderstand.

I cannot carry my concealed handgun in the area where I work since it’s a department of Homeland security property. It’s in a really bad area. so I got this instead to keep in the car. it looks and feels very durable and that it would definitely be very effective in a self-defense situation. It arrived on time and in good condition. There was a small chip out of it for some reason. Not sure why. That’s the only reason I deducted one star.

I keep it by wife's bed in case a rogue tire decides to come in the apartment. A few good wacks with this should send that tire back to were it came from. If it makes it. This thing is no joke.

The media could not be loaded. No human can break this without a tool, made from a fine hardwood, but I don't know what one. Single hand design is superior to a ⚾ bat, as far as performance goes, I haven't used it , but I'm a bit of an expert on the subject, and this is a mighty crusher

I purchased this for my father to have with him for safety while he goes out on walks by himself. He’s already told me he’s come across mean looking stray dogs so I wanted him to have something to defend himself.This safety stick was pretty affordable and I’m impressed with the quality. It’s solid and has some weight to it. The stained wood is also very gorgeous to look at.Better to have and not need than need and not have! Hope this helps
