Great Workbook
I've purchased this several times for friends interested in learning Arabic. The Arabic Alphabet: How to Read & Write It Paperback – October 1, 2000by Nicholas Awde (Author), Putros Samano (Author) plus this workbook is a good combination to understand and learn to write the Arabic alphabet.Page 65 is Lam. At some point learn Lam and understand how to distinguish it from Alif with Lam being a connector and Alif being a non-connector. When I first learned to read Arabic, confusing the two was the mistake I made the most. I had to learn to look to see if it connected to the next letter or not. Secondly, learn the special way of writing Lam Alif (Laa), which is on page 85.On page 74 cross out the pronunciation part. This looks like a formatting error. (It belongs to the preceding letter.)

Not an easy language to learn, but this book is helpfeul, even for adults
It is advertised more for children, but if you are an adult looking for the very basics of the Arabic alphabet, this is much easier than books aimed at adults, which assume you know the basics. This book IS the basics you need to use more advanced material - especially if you are learning on your own and not in a class or with someone else. It has ample practice pages, and allows you to adjust to using your pen or marker in the proper ways (which it illustrates for proper formation, as in whether or not you go up or down or left or right. I think this is a great starting place and have found it more helpful than more advanced books I bought prior to admitting I needed something very basic if I was going to make any progress.

Great price for this amazing book! Thank You!
This is an excellent addition for my Arabic studies. It has breakdowns and plenty of writing/practice space. It is clean, the fonts are big enough to read and gets you in the habit of writing right to left. You see the different font variations and also the author of this book allows for you to make copies and share with others if needed. GREAT BOOK I recommend for anyone learning the Arabic language! Mashallah

Page spacing
The only problem is how close the pages are together. There's no space to properly write the last words out.

Great for kids and adults
Most Arabic learning for adults speeds ahead and skips right past the fundamental basics, like the alphabet. I'm 23, and having a basic workbook like this will save me from so much frustration when I go on the learn to speak and read the language. I don't understand how adults are expected to learn grammar without knowing the alphabet first! Learning to write and read the alphabet is a must for me.

Great workbook for learning the Arabic alphabet.
I was so happy to receive this workbook! It is designed for children but I use it for myself as I am learning the Arabic alphabet and language. Has a lot of pages to practic calligraphy writing and memorization of the language. It is perfect supplementation for my audio books. I highly recommend this!

Great practice!
I purchased to practice a few letters I struggle with - س،ط،ع. It delivered what it promised.I would have liked to practice with words but I knew what I was buying. Also, the page with hamza needs to be edited for the pronunciation, but that’s minor.
