If you like a firmer mattress and hate to struggle to lift it while putting on fitted sheets, this is for you!
When I moved to a new apartment, I wanted to dump my old mattress. I loved my old mattress because it was very comfortable BUT it was long overdue for a replacement. I didn't want to move the old mattress only to throw it away weeks later so I needed to find a suitable mattress, quickly. Something that would ship/deliver for free. Something cheap (moving is already expensive enough). I did a lot of research about foam mattresses and found several companies that offered affordable, thick foam mattresses. I chose this mattress because it had some great reviews and is American made. I ordered it and it arrived two days later. Never having had a foam mattress before, I was a little weary that it would feel too "foamy". I hate that sticky feeling that most foam padding gives me. I ordered a ultra plush bamboo mattress topper (see other review) to go with my new foam mattress to give it that hotel "cloud bed" feeling. The mattress arrived while I was at work and I asked my roommate to open it and throw it on my bedroom floor so it would be at least partially "inflated" by the time I got home. When I arrived home just 4 hours later it was completely ready for sleep. I put together my IKEA platform frame (with slats), put this ultra light foam mattress on top and covered it with my bamboo mattress topper. After adding my sheets and comforter I plopped down into the bed and felt like I was falling through a cloud into a soft, fluffy patch of grass. I now get the best sleep of my life and realize now that my old mattress wasn't nearly as supportive and comfortable as I thought it was. THIS lightweight, inexpensive foam mattress is definitely the best thing I have purchased in a long time (with the bamboo topper. I honestly don't know what the mattress would feel like by itself). Bonus: Because it is so lightweight, putting fitted sheets on the mattress is no longer a struggle. It lifts easily and holds the fitted sheets securely.

Good little mattress!
I have been using a water bed for the last year, and it decided to spring a leak on me. I was in a big hurry to find a new mattress, but for fairly cheap and quick because i'm a college student and poor. I saw this one and was worried that it wasn't going to be thick enough, but once it got here and i opened it up, i was pleasantly surprised. Sure its not your fancy pillow top mattress, but i really think it's a comfortable mattress. It doesn't look or feel as cheap as i thought it might. Plus it is very light weight and makes it easy to move around if needed. I sleep on my side and i feel like i get the support i need, and i have never woken up with a sore back. So overall, a decent mattress for the price, and a lot more comfortable than you might expect.

Really good budget mattress
It's not as soft as I would prefer for my mattress, but it's not bad either. I would call it "firm" based on my preferences. I actually purchased this for my daughter's bed and she thinks it's incredibly soft and comfy & sleeps really soundly on it (mind you, she's comparing it to a crib/toddler mattress which is really firm as they are supposed to be so this one is much softer than that). It's really not bad to sit and lay on with her when I read her a story, and the sides hold up well when I sit on the edge of the bed giving night time smooches (I've read that some sides tend to collapse on these foam mattresses). It arrived in something like 3 days after I ordered it which was great and unwrapping it I didn't smell anything at all. It's not too heavy or cumbersome once unwrapped either - easily lifts to change sheets, etc. I love that it is made in the USA & after researching this type of mattress online for a few nights I decided to go with this one because of the price and also because of the fact that it is made in USA. I don't use a box spring (mattress sits right on the bed slats) and it's great for her bed. My only semi-complaint is that it seems a little short (there is a definite gap between the end of the bed and the start of her mattress), but the end of her bed is covered in stuffed animals anyway, so she would never notice this and it doesn't really bother me enough to affect the rating. All in all, a great mattress for what we're using it for (child's room).

Daughter loves it
This was a mattress for my 12 year old daughter's room, we also ordered the South Shore Libra Collection Twin 39 inch Platform Bed (shipping time sucked but a great product!) She says it is comfortable (it looks comfy when I go in to wake her and she is all sprawled across the top like someone just threw her over there!) Word of caution though, the top will lint up quickly so I would suggest a smoother tighter woven sheet instead of the flannel we went with, nappy nappy nappy. She's been sleeping on it for 2 months now and (she's a short and heavy 12) nothing is sagging on the mattress, no odd little trenches to roll into or anything. The edges haven't sunken in, either. Still a good, semi firm mattress that she loves. I was really worried about a mattress being rolled up in a box, I mean seriously how would that even work out? Well, it did. Through some awesome vacuum packing voodoo this mattress was sucked flat and rolled up into a box and we released it from it's packaging and there was in fact a mattress, we let it set up and relax for about an hour before letting her get on and test it out for comfort and the rest as they say is history. UPDATE: We loved this so much we replaced the mattresses on the boys' bunk beds with them and they are working out super! 2nd Update: It is now February 2017, we've had the original mattress in daughter's room for 2 years and have had the other two on the boys' bunk beds for a year....they are still in fantastic shape, still very supportive and comfy according to those sleeping on them.
