After nine months I have to order another harness. The webbing has frayed too much near the rear lead attachment point. The slide gets caught up on the weakened and damaged area making it hard to manipulate. This newer version is made of a sewn together ribbon material that is much inferior to the old versions of this harness. Older versions were made of a heavy cord that lasted the life of a Labrador Retriever. I wish they would make them like they used to, but this is a good harness for pulling control as it tightens around the dog's chest in a very humane way to discourage your dog from pulling.

I have a ridiculously stubborn dog that pulls like an entire sled team. We also have a choke collar that she is just fine with pulling until she gags, so I hate that. This has been the collar that she has done the best with. My only issue is that it is not something that you can just leave on the dog and connect to when you go in and out. The material is very solid and I like that the leash has multiple lengths.

This is the only harness that keeps my Samoyed from pulling.

We've tried this type of harness with past dogs and really haven't had luck. Just goes to show, it's really what impacts the specific dog. We have a rescue boxer who is very dialed in to every movement & smell on her walks. She was even pulling through a prong collar (with rubber tips). I took a chance that this might work and she has done really well. For some reason, she responds to this harness and her pulling has reduced. The only issue we have is it rubs her skin under her arms. We try and keep the pads under her arm, but they move around. Since she is white, her skin is sensitive to this. We are working on a better way to secure that padding. Otherwise, she has been doing really well with this harness.

I have a 16 month old 80 lb Shepherd who loses his mind over squirrels, rats, cats, and other dogs. This harness provided immediate relief from the constant pulling AND the sudden chase pull. I have told every owner of a puller I see. He still pulls but is sooooo much easier to control. Works better than a chocker.

I have 2 string dogs that pulled so much on walks with regular harnesses, I was exhausted by the time we got home. I got these with little expectation, and wow! I noticed the difference within a block, they weren’t pulling so much and when they did, they were much easier to correct!I use a harness on each dog, but only use one of the leashes it came with, since there’s a clip on each end. I did tie a loop in the middle for my comfort. It’s awesome walking 2 dogs with 1 hand!

After searching for two weeks I decided upon this item, due to reviews [negative & positive]. Other than a couple days of operator error, this product delivers as advertised. My girl is forty-five [45 pounds] mixed breed dog with short hair and a short snout, extremely intelligent, nearly five [5] years old. The tricks learned from utilization of this product are: 1. the front harness connection must ride on the outside of the dogs shoulder [left or right] which is ultimately what inhibits the pulling, when the harness is under the front legs it creates a situation that gives the dog more pulling strength. 2. It also helps to have a tasty snack for the moments when pulling would have occurred and didn't. I plan on using this product for another two weeks [as I still have issues with cats being a distraction for her] otherwise she is now a joy to walk with. The four star rating for sturdiness is given as this product would not [in my opinion] last for a long period of time [say a year or more of daily usage]. The media could not be loaded.  Absolutely brilliant. Using the Halti head collar and harness I have managed to get my 1 1/2 year old 6 1/2 stone American Bull Dog to heal. I only weigh 8 stone so it’s was imperative . So after using both the head collar and harness for just a week he was healing like a gentleman. I I then moved him on to using just the harness and he healed like an absolute gentleman. It’s a really easy use and comfortable for the dog. I always carry the head coller and if he pulls or there is a situation where I think he may pull I slip it on. Afterwards I remove and use the harness again. I have plesant walks now that don’t involve being dragged around like a rag doll thanks to Halti . Due to his strength I will always have to use a harness and the Halti one is comfortable and durable so I reckon it will last a good few years at least . Very happy 😃 I highly recommend this product. I didn’t use the training lead as it was to long for me but it’s very good quality and I’m sure for someone else it would be very good.

After trying many halti/harnesses for our Labrador pup I honestly felt this would be the answer after initial walks as it stopped him pulling and making choking noises. But alas after a couple of weeks, I noticed the material was already looking frayed and then the strap just snapped while he was walking along!? So disappointed but I am pleased to report that I have found the solution elsewhere (Gencon). I Love Amazon but I do wish that they would vett these products better before they allow them to be sold. It’s not like we have spare cash and time on our hands to go looking for the right product when you have all these great looking reviews 🤷🏻‍♂️

The media could not be loaded.  We have a rescue bulldog who has not been lead trained and have tried numerous harnesses but she still pulls and is hard to control- with this harness and lead combination we have been able to get her to walk to heel after two goes using it and it makes walking her a pleasure and not the drama it was before!!! 5 stars from us and our dog!

This is the first no pull harness that really works! I have a large reactive excited dog who I couldn't walk as he is so strong it took all my partner or son strength to leash walk him. The halti keeps him at heel, tail wagging and so controlled that I can walk him for the first time since he was a pup. Walks are a pleasure again. Wonderful, fantastic and can't rave enough. Save yourself money and buy this one first, I have a cupboard full of other harnesses which where all a waste of money.

This is perfect - I have a large Old English Sheepdog / Irish setter Cross of 8 months old. He is very bouncy and excitable and usually wrenches my shoulder and blisters my hand holding onto him. With this harness and lead he walks perfectly. It is amazing. He seems quite happy with it too. It has made walking my dog a pleasure.
