Our heroine now knows for sure her timekeeper magic. Will this knowledge help in finding the mysterious Chronos in time to save Mr. Glass's life. A map drawn by a missing map making apprentice may hold the location of Roman treasure and the missing persons. The chase is on. The reader will enjoy this exciting story.

Good, but sometimes a little slow.
For the most part I like these stories but there’s something missing that keeps them from being as exciting as they could be.

Great story!
I have enjoyed the Glass and Steel books so much. I wish they were all “free”Kindle books. I would read them all.

C. J. Archer Doesn't Disappoint!
Loved how the author teases the reader with new background stories of main characters while introducing new ones. Once again there is much intrigue in the solving of issues, frustrating adversaries who consistently interfere in the investigation.

Not As Good As First, But Still Good
More of a 3.5, I found this book to be slightly slower than the first one. I enjoy the magic system in the series, but there wasn't enough of it in this book for me other than towards the end. It felt slow to begin but picked up more and I am looking forward to reading book 3. I recommend it to anyone who likes a mystery without murder.

good and somewhat familiar
Resembles another series by the same author having to do with bookstores. I look forward to finding out why. Entertaining and readable, if not stellar.

Compelling Reading
I've stumbled across a treasure trove of series by C.J. Archer and I'm having a blast. These mysteries are well plotted and fast paced. Good stuff.

A Lot of Fun
It's a clean read with gentle romance and intrigue. I enjoyed the very good descriptions of the era and the surroundings. I liked the characters and found new insights into clocks, and watch making. India has relatable reactions and thought processes, and Matt is interesting and mysterious.

Loved it!
I really liked this book. Towards the end I was getting a bit tired of the 'will they won't they thing' but it's pleasant enough to stick with it.

Magic and Murder
I absolutely loved this book. We stepped back in time to ride the omnibus, hansom cab and brougham carriage. We keep our secret treasures in our reticule while wearing lovely fashionable dresses. We learn about magical watchmakers and mapmakers, and archaeology. We dabble in courting, being seen for social status at the opera, proper etiquette, receiving visitors. All while investigating mysterious circumstances, missing people, kidnappings, searching for evidence, and solving murders. I enjoyed the second book in this series immensely and can’t wait to dive into book three. Matt, India, Willie, the Cyclops, and friends are fascinating to me. I feel like I’m part of the team. Well done, C.J. Archer!

I’m hooked!
Okay, yep, it’s close to midnight and I’m calculating how many hours of reading book 3 I can fit in before I ‘must’ go to sleep. It’s one of those series. It’s fun, addictive, fast paced, and sexy as hell. I like the magic in this book and India finding her voice. Looove the sexual tension between her and Matt. I like that the other characters are becoming more involved, too. I want to wallop Hope, but perhaps Willie (aka The Legend) will do it for me (*snickers*). Anyway, this series is getting better and better, and I’m excited by the knowledge there are a ton of books to go. The leap in story and writing quality from book 1 to 2 was noticeable, especially pacing, and I really feel like the author is getting more feedback on the story, which is excellent and makes me want to keep reading, too. Mostly I just need my fix of Matt/India. India’s inability to accept a compliment is starting to annoy me, though. Take a compliment, woman! Geez. Anyway, time to tuck in book 3. Thank you for writing these, CJ. I’m enjoying them immensely; you’ve cured my book drought.

A series with a little magical mystery and growing romantic tension.
I really liked the characters some of whom were unexpectedly quirky. The reader is often surprised by their actions and what they say.
