My mother was truly happy with Korean cards, very good qaulity, color print, and she played them daily.

I like the plastic material of the Hanafuda. It seems sturdy and can last. I also like how the Korean version of Hanafuda adds wild cards to the mix. But I am sad that it didn't come with instructions on how to play, wish it did. I did have to go online to see how it is played. But overall, it's a good item to have in someone's Hanafuda collection.

I bought these out of curiosity from the recommendation of a korean seller, mainly to compare them with my cheaper hwatu deck by Song-wol, and I must say, Royal is a great brand! Probably one of the best hwatu brands you can get without paying an arm and a leg. The plastic case is the right size, the cards themselves have a more even thickness and polish than cheaper brands which feel like knives that'll cut your fingers around the edges. The pictures are printed with the right colors and a much softer image. The plastic layer covering the front is also of better quality. Like all hwatu cards, which are made like credit cards, these will scuff over time due to wear, but should be good enough to last you a while and still be legible.

This is one of my favorite games i use to play with my grandma so the fact i could find it again🥹. Its a fun game, cheap, and same quality like the ones i use to play with before. And now i cab teach my kids too.

Love these! Nice and thick not flimsy at all. The cards themselves are very colorful.

This deck type as several other names, Hanafuda being the Japanese name. For the unaware these decks have 12 suits of 4 cards each, and the Hwatu version has 6 extras with specific uses in Korean versions of the games played with them. Suits have 3-4 of the 5 types of cards (Brights, Banners, Animals, double plain, Plain). The rain and pampas are black, rather than the dark grey with black lines of Japanese decks, such as those Nintendo still makes. Note also: these cards are about 1/2 the size of a western bridge card, and about a millimeter thick. Learning the various games and their scoring is an exercise for the reader; my favorite is Koi-Koi... aka "Go-Stop"... I've owned half a dozen decks of Hanafuda/Hwatu; this is the deck which lives in my car most of the year.

The cards are exactly as expected. As described. Typical Hwatu cards. The only problem is that the plastic case that came with it arrived chipped with a sizeable crack along the bottom. Packaged just fine, so seems like a quality control issue. The case works for now, but it won't be a long term storage solution.

This is a beautiful set of Korean Hwatu (Korean equivalent to Hanafuda). High quality Hwatu cards with textured backs and a nice plastic box for storage. It looks like it will last for years even under heavy play. I did have to return my first set, as the box came just slightly cracked in a couple minor places, making opening it difficult, but the new box is pristine and opens smoothly. So long as nothing happens to the box, this will last a long time.
