I am glad that these have the "safe volume" feature, to prevent my 8 year old from having dangerously high volume levels going into her ears, and she is also able to hear whats going on in the world around her. She did say that they feel small even when they are opened all the way, but she has gotten more used to them. I don't know how well they would fit a larger head because they are pretty small compared t headphones not designed for kids.

This is our second pair of these for my daughter. I am very happy with the volume limit. While not customizable, it is reasonable and received no complaints of them being too quiet. We did end of having to buy a new pair after the last pair eventually shorted out. But this was after a full year of abuse. They were used with an iPod, computer, Nintendo DS, etc. They must be pretty comfortable, because on many occasions, my daughter forgot she was wearing them and yanked them out of the computer or the laptop off the table when getting up to do something else!

These were the perfect size for my 6 year old. She loves the design. It is a good product for the price.

These have turned out to be a great purchase.My 4 year old daughter had a hard time keeping other headphones on her head. They would slide down and off when she was watching her ipad in her lap in the car. I bought these after reading a couple reviews and I'm very pleased with them. They stay in place and turned out to be cute too.My daughter is of average size and apparently the sound quality is good because she doesn't complain about not being able to hear.I would recommend them to a friend.

Although these headphones are very cute to look at, for the price they were a total let down. My 5 year old daughtercould barely hear the music that was playing due to the 'volume' control. It was incredibly quiet to the point where shedidn't even want to use them after trying everything to hear her favorite songs. Because it was a birthday gift, I had to go get a new pair immediately.Unless your child is planning on sitting in a closet sitting perfectlystill to use these headphones, Do NOT buy them. They are not worth the money you spend on them.

My daughter loves the look of the headphones, but the volume is to low. She can't listen to music or movies if there is background noise such as being on a train or plane. We had originally bought these to pair with an iPad, so that she could watch cartoons on the plane, but had to switch head phones because she couldn't hear the cartoon even though volume was set to max.

I love the way these look, and I really like the idea of how they limit the sound in order to protect little eardrums. However, the sound is so limited, that on an airplane even with the volume turned all the way up, it is still barely detectable. My daughter complained that she couldn't hear anything at all. Sitting at home, in a quiet living room, they worked ok and could be heard better.If you are planning on using these on a plane or in a car, if you can afford a higher budget, look for something else. But if they are just for use around the house, than these will do the job.

I purchased these headphones for my three year old. They are easy for her to adjust and offer settings that she can grow into. The volume control is great and doesn't get too loud even when it is turned up on the dvd player. The ears covers are well padded and didn't cause any discomfort. The design on the side is also cute!

Brought them on the airplane. Most of the planes we went on the ear phones worked great. One of the smaller planes was rather loud and while my daughter could still hear sound from the ear phones, they were rather quiet on that particular plane. however I like that they only go so loud and they keep our children's ears safe.

Great headphones for kids. No matter how high the volume on the device is turned up, the headphones stay steady at their own set volume. Nice padding on the ears and top the head. My little 3y old likes them very much. Highly recommended for parents who was concerned about hearing damage from electrical devices.

I appreciate that it's made to make full volume not so loud, but it's honestly barely audible at full blast. Buy your kids regular headphones and just ensure it stays below full volume
