Sensor stops working before bulb burns out
This bulb/sensor is a nice combo. I installed new recessed lighting in my living room and needed a wall switch. Rather than ripping out the wall gang box and putting in a bigger one, I made the existing wall switch work for the recessed lights and hardwired my foyer entry recessed light with this bulb. So there is no switch to work this light anymore saving a lot of time and money. I have had this installed indoors in my house entryway for 18 months and it has worked great. Just walk in the door and the light goes on. FF to yesterday and the sensor quit. The bulb still works great but wont shut off so I need to buy a new one.Update: I unscrewed the bulb and left it off for 5 minutes. This must have now reset the sensor because it shut off and it working great again.

Works day and night
Only thing I don't really like is it works in daylight. Seems life a waste of electricity to me.

Bright motion sensor bulb!
This is the craziest bulb I've ever had. I have to have the power switch off for the light to work LOL but it does work and it's very bright! Actually it just occurred to me the painter must have put the switch in upside down!

Cinch to Install, & Absolutely Perfect!!
Absolutely perfect!Opened the box & screwed the bulb in to the outdoor socket above our back door.Taped the 'Mode' instruction card above the light switch for quick/easy reference (& so I won't 'put it someplace safe', then promptly forget where I put it), & just turned it on.That's it - Talk about easy to install! It's so bright it lights up the whole yard! It comes on whenever motion is detected - including when I open the door to go out, just as promised.I've found it's the perfect sensitivity - it doesn't come on for those annoying large-ish june beetles, or flying bugs of any kind, but DOES turn right on when it detects critters & humans - exactly what we needed it for.The first week, we'd look out whenever it came on, just to see what it was detecting (bc I'd seen reviews about it being either 'too sensitive' or 'not sensitive enough'), & have seen it come on for skunks, opossums, raccoons, & random adult humans at every hour of night since we put it in.It's bright enough to startle them all out of our yard, ASAP.I can also see if it's been triggered to come on BEFORE I open the door, too, so I have warning if something HAS been in the yard recently - a sign for me to wait until there's no motion, & therefore nothing else alive, in my backyard - so I can guage when it's safe for me to open the door.I feel SO much safer with this light installed - I no longer come face to face with startled, angry animals, or inebriated jackasses, when I have to open the back door late at night. It's been wonderful.I wish I'd put one of these motion detection bulbs in years ago!

Works flawlessly
Happy with purchase, lights up at the slightest motion and covers a large area with light. Purchased another for front of house.

Works like a charm
Once in a while I have to wave my arms like a cheap magician trying to get it to notice me but that's very rare and otherwise it works flawlessly. Will buy again.

Could be brighter, wish it had more control options.
For the price, this is fine. It’s easier and more flexible than installing a new fixture with a motion sensor, but the control options are pretty limited and the light is a bit dim.I have two of these installed on my property, one lighting the rear entrance and one in the space between my building and the neighbor. You can either set the bulb to stay on from dusk-to-dawn, or turn on for five minutes when it senses motion, and continues to stay on as long as it detects motion. It’s set to motion sensing by default, which is how I use them.Switching between the two modes is not particularly easy and the instructions aren’t anywhere on the box or in the package. You have to switch the bulb on and off quickly twice to change it to dusk-to-dawn mode, and switch it on and off once to put it back to motion sensing. Less than ideal for my particular setup, as I only have one switch controlling all of the outdoor lighting for my property, so having them on different settings would be tricky to pull off. It’d also be nice if you could control how long the bulb stays on when it detects motion, but it’s limited to five minutes. An option for 90 seconds or 3 minutes, along with 5 minutes would be nice. Maybe a ‘random’ option to help make it seem like it’s being operated by a person rather than a sensor would make it more of a security deterrent. The motion sensor itself is a little too sensitive, it seems to pick up on temperature variations and wind along with motion, which is typical for inexpensive sensors. It’s not a deal breaker, but expect a lot of false positives.I like the warm color temperature of light the bulb gives off, but it could be a bit brighter, it doesn’t really seem equivalent to a 90w incandescent or halogen bulb.

Reset bulb 💡!!!!
First night the bulb worked great until the next morning when I noticed the bulb had come on sometime during the middle of the night and had stayed on!!!….UGG….I did some troubleshooting on google and found that if you flick the light switch on several times quickly and then leaving it off for 10 seconds….then turn back on…it’s then reset!!!….Yahooooooo!
