These are good magnets and work well. Almost too well! I happened to pick up two in one hand and the SLAMMED together so hard I got a blood blister on one finger that's taken a week to heal.Plus - the two are now face to face and I can't begin to get them apart by hand. Can't move or wiggle them even a tiny distance. Maybe if I mount one in a vice and beat on the other with hammer?

Bought these to use on an upcoming cruise. The description says it holds 100 lbs. I had no other surface to test it on except for the fridge door. I then hung a diaper bag on it (not even 10 lbs) and it slid down a couple of inches. I opened and shut the freezer door and the bag and hook scooted down a bit more.It was very hard to remove the hook with my bare hands, but very easy to remove if you use a kitchen towel (or any towel about the size of a hand towel to have a better grip) to grab it off.Maybe on a different surface it would not slide off. I’m returning it anyway because reading about people bleeding from it scares me as I have toddlers at home.I’m sure it’ll work well to hold lighter things, but again, it does not hold 100 lbs.

The hooks on the magnets screw in, so you can store them flat. They are also really strong. It's easier to remove them if you can slide them partially off the surface they're on rather than try to pull them off directly...unless you are the Incredible Hulk, of course! Exactly what I was looking for to take on my cruise.

Hang towels, clothes, back packs, hats, lanyards fans, etc on these. First thing I pack for our cruises!

These don’t let go. “Oh good!” thinks your uninformed self, “that’s what I want”. No! Think about this carefully! These don’t let go!! If you do something foolish like I did and stick them on a household item with a nicely painted finish…you messed up. Think you’ll just yank it off? Nope. Leverage it over sideways till it lets go? Nope. Slide it to the edge and pull it free? Yes, HOWEVER, you can kiss that nice paintwork goodbye. My appliance now has serious scrapes across it’s no-longer-nice paintwork, and yes, I truly was trying to be very careful NOT to scratch it up. No deal. And unfortunately I had slapped eight of the magnets on before trying to take them off. SIGH.Powerful? YESHeavy duty? YESEasy to remove? NOPESeem like quality units, definitely strong enough to hold your jacket or a shovel or possibly restrain a Saint Bernard. They’ve been moved to my workshop for industrial duty and I’m really pleased with how strong these magnets are, but I sure wish I hadn’t vandalized my own rather expensive refrigerator.

These worked great on a cruise. All metal walls and ceiling, so we were able to have extra hooks to hang things on the walls, as well as hanging a clothesline on the ceiling to dry swimsuits, towels etc

Buy these! These magnets are super strong. I was concerned about the screw in hooks, but now I thinkI'd rather have it that way...I have the option of using a different retainer as long as I can match the threads.I ordered these for the size (diameter) of the magnet. As for the strength, you will probably have to slideit to an edge to remove it. I was able to tilt one using a pliers to remove it, but it was difficult. These willwork for anything I expect to use them for. Buy 'em! You'll be glad you did. (Unless you like wimpy stuff.)
