I'm confident they are shrimps caught in Louisiana because they are tastier than the Chinese shrimps.

Hi Islander! I can't see where there from. Not sure why they salt "salty and stale". All of our dried shrimp are packed when ordered. Shelf life is 1 month if not refrigerated.
