~ SPGTM-3 Vacuum Breaker Adapter~for Watts & Cambridge Brass Spigots Widely Used in Canada & NIBCO 63CLVB/763CLVB with VBS-12-ASSE Adapters (1, SM-XL)

In my extreme hard water area, the anti-siphon vacuum-breaking spigots last about a year, then clog up with deposits and leak constantly. These are are excellent solution! Check the make and model of your spigot, to make sure you get the correct part. These are high-quality, heavy brass, with nicely cut threads and a thick washer. I used yellow Teflon tape (for gas lines) and the connection was absolutely leak free. Very easy to install, once the anti-siphon part was removed (that was also easier than I expected). No more intermittent spurting of water, and no more constantly leaking anti-siphon valve. My house is old enough that the anti-siphon type is not required, if they're required where you live, save the parts you take off, just in case. I'm looking forward to seeing the next water bill to figure out how much water the anti-siphon valves were wasting. I would definitely buy these again. Great quality, and made in the USA. Well worth the price.

The initial install of faucets required the vacuum breaker, which (spoiler alert), leak like a godd*m sieve, this product fixed the issue, and now faucets and hoses connect and don't leak for random reasons.

5 Stars!! Was looking for the right part for weeks and couldn’t find it. When I thought I found it here, I placed the order. Within 5 minutes Rob texted me saying there was a high probability I was wrong on the part needed and to send a picture so he could get the right part. The part cane the next day and fits perfectly. Cannot recommend SpigotMaster enough.

I have an arrowhead faucet in the back of the house and it leaked constantly. It was like playing a"dodge the water spray" game everytime I had to water my lawn. No matter what I did this modified contraption on the faucet always leaked. Ne gaskets? Leaked. Tighten it up? Leaked.... Try to deflect he water? It would come out a different direction like it had a mind of its own. I had never seen one of these on all of the houses I had lived. Then I looked up and found out that I had an Arrowhead spigot. Who in the hell would put something like this garbage on a house? Do they get kickbacks from Arrowhead? Then I found out the backflow preventer has a long history of leaking and breaking internally. What adamn racket! Luckily I found this Spigotmaster adapter online. I was weary. I mean it's a simple adapter but there are two different sizes. I was very careful to order the right size for the backyard. It arrived in only a couple of days and was very easy to put on. Not problems. No leaking and the previous flow restriction was no longer there like with the old backflow garbage. My sprinkler could cover more area. I loved it so much that I went onto Amazon and did the "reorder" option. Got the new one in the mail in about two days. I felt like a kid at Christmas. I couldn't wait to put it on. OMG it was going to be spectacular. And.... Wouldn't you know it that, when I went to the front yard to install it, it's a different Arrowhead spigot design and of course a different size of threads... ugh. It didn't fit... It was like Arrowhead was getting back at me one last time.... I will prevail. Oh yes... I will prevail. I will order another (although it's a good additional $20 out of my pocket) I plan on doing it just so I can be victorious over this oppressive spigot monopoly that continues to dash my lawn watering dreams, while soaking the side of my house and my shoes/pants...

The product it self is a 5-star rating, however the price is a bit unreasonable, thus the 4-star. I had searched high and low for this adapter. We have Arrowhead/Champion frost free hydrants (bibs) on our home that came equipped with "permanent" almost non-serviceable anti-backflow devices attached via a uncommon thread. The anti-backflow devices actually negated the drain feature of the valve causing them to hold water in the dry barrel portion. The devices leaked and would create a huge mess. Thanks to these adapters the headaches are gone, the water drains and the bib does not leak. Installation was a little involved. Arrowhead used red thread locker to secure the anti-back flow device and the simplest means is to heat it with a torch. I would recommend heat a little then test with channel locks or a pipe wrench. Too much heat could ruin the packing on the valve stem or un-sweating the bib is very possible (the bibs are sweated together at the factory). After removing the offending device, cleaning off the old thread locker with a metal brush is a good idea. When installing the adapter I used the old rubber washer (seemed better quality) and applied blue thread locker to keep the item in place when removing hoses. The make more clearance, I removed the faucet handle as well for better access. Great product that solves a bureaucratic dilemma.

Love thes things. Arrowhead hose bibs anti-siphons are terrible and fail all the time. And they are pointless. There really isn’t a risk of backflow with these things. This fixes it permanently! Excellent product

A great product, Rob who works with these called me asking for a picture of the Spigot to get me the right one, found out exactly withing a matter of seconds, and corrected my order. After 4 other spigots from Amazon they were too small..but Rob..this man helped me out and it fit perfectly.

After measuring my spigots, I was pretty convinced that I had the SPGTM#4 size, XXL, but Rob from SM reached out to me to check, because the #4 is very uncommon, and based on my measurements suggested SPGTM#3. I was in doubt at first but they then sent me picutres of both, so I got some calipers and ditched the tape measure (not precise) and then I knew they were right comparing against their images. The SPGTM#3's shipped right away and landed in Kelowna BC 2 days later on Friday Aug 18. They fit perfectly and this was just in time, Kelowna was under an enormous wildfire bearing down and reigning embers on the town due to high winds so the risk was very high for spot fires in the entire area. Obviously having working garden hoses that can be left on to be ready and not leak, to put out spot fires immediately is essential and doing exactly this has saved people's homes. Although I didn't plan for that application when I ordered them, I was just tired of leaky vacuum breakers with no parts availability, I'm very happy they arrived and are good quality and ensure things work exactly how they need to. SPGTM-3 is high quality, so is the manufacturer service. I talked to Rob before placing order. Rob assured me that if it would not work, I could return it. I ordered it Aug 1st, and received it Aug 4th. It works well for my garden. I highly recommend this product.

I have an older spigot with a vacuum breaker that was leaking everywhere , as a result, I was not able to use my irrigation system that was hooked up to this spigot. I went to multiple plumbing and hardware stores that didn’t carry that irregular size, only 3/4” vacuum breakers. Luckily , I Found this adapter on Amazon. Bought the SPGTM-3 which they said fits most Canadian spigots. It worked perfectly, no more leaking . And I was able to attach a new 3/4” vacuum breaker and reattach my irrigation system. Very satisfied with the product !

Exactly as described

This thing is great! Only downside is the price... but still cheaper than replacing the hose bib and saves me the work of replacing all six of the sillcocks around my house (air-lock gaskets dried out and leaking). Definately won't find at the hardware store for some reason. Overall good find 👌
