A good product. Surprisingly difficult to find a toilet seat that has slow close, is comfortable and solid, is easy to clean and is easy to install and this really does it all! I had a similar toilet seat before but the paint was literally coming off by using basic cleaning products--no go. This one has been so awesome and a great replacement. It does not slip around making it safer than other models, and is very comfortable to sit on.

Ordered and tried to put on myself without asking the husband. I did it - it was very easy and I love the slow close seat! Easy to also remove top to clean!

Closes very quiet and I may need to get used to just giving it a slight move toward closing and letting it go. It took some effort to get it tightly screwed to the toilet but that seems fine now. Be careful you don't over tighted. Fits perfect. Easy to install. Solid material. Feels pretty stable after first use. Good material. Showed up on my doorstep. Seem a bit expensive but hopefully it'll last many years.

Seat and top are well made and firm. Not a soft "bendy" material. Slow close works well also. Anchoring devices are strong and easy to install.

It is sturdy and stays in place well. However, if you have young ones or elderly family members, who aren't the best with aim, the seat stains really easily if not cleaned immediately and the finish wears off.

This isn't easy to report succinctly, but I'll try. First, I had problems with my purchase two times, and the third effort resulted in the company insulting me with the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my nearly 80 years on this planet. My home is 17 years old, and the builder put plastic Bemis toilet seats in both bathrooms. I replaced two broken Bemis toilet seats with new plastic toilet seats before I decided to put wooden Bemis toilet seats in both bathrooms when the third plastic one broke. For what it's worth, this collective experience is the first time I have ever needed to replace a toilet seat. I ordered a new wooden Bemis toilet seat because one of the existing wooden seat's hinges broke. Remember, I have needed to buy four new toilet seats for this home, and my wife and I are not large. The first new one arrived with a large paint chip missing on the front of the seat, which of course made it unsightly. Amazon was excellent in sending me a replacement right away. Believe it or not, the second one arrived with a smaller paint chip on the front of the seat. After having already received a replacement, Amazon wouldn't have anything to do with replacing the product a second time. As an aside, I was disappointed that we users can no longer find a telephone number with which to contact Amazon. The company provided a telephone number to contact the manufacturer of the Bemis toilet seat, but that was the best I could do. I called the manufacturer, Bemis, and the lady I talked with said she would send a replacement and would instruct the shipping department to visually inspect the entire seat and lid looking for missing paint. The new seat arrived four business days later, and what I saw when I opened the box was nothing short of shocking. The outer box was not damaged in any way. The inner box containing the new toilet seat was in pristine condition. What I found inside this box was a toilet seat with one of the hinges sitting on top of the seat along with the usual hardware in a plastic bag, and the product was 100 percent unusable. Worse, the lid for the toilet seat was broken into two large pieces, and that took some power to accomplish. This product had clearly been sabotaged, I'd say especially for me, for whatever reason the reader wants to guess. A complete insult! I have eaten the loss and replaced it with a toilet seat from a different manufacturer, will never again purchase a product made by or sold by Bemis, and recommend that any reader considering the purchase of any of this company's products rethink the purchase and buy from another manufacturer. It might save you much frustration, but regardless, a company that will do this to a customer doesn't deserve to stay in business.

This toilet seat is AWESOME! High quality enameled wood, round, white. All the things I wanted. I purchased a cheaper brand initially and that was a big mistake as the entire ordeal was horrible. So, I immediately jumped on Amazon and bought this one instead. I had already tossed my old toilet seat. I needed a replacement ASAP. Luckily, Amazon made good on their one-day delivery promise and I got this seat delivered the next afternoon less than 16 hours later. Very happy! It is VERY sturdy, has a soft close feature, is super easy to clean, has a nice design, and looks great once installed. The best part about this toilet seat is that it is PERMANENTLY TIGHT. I can’t stand it when toilet seats start to loosen and shift around so you have to tighten them again and again. Well this one is completely different, and they mean when they say it won’t EVER loosen. The only way I could see this seat loosening is if the securing screw breaks, which is highly unlikely. As we all know, toilet seats don’t last forever. So how, you might ask, can you replace this seat if the sucker is permanently attached, hmm? Well that’s another cool feature! Just pop onto Amazon here and buy another of this exact seat. If you’re like me, you’ll buy several so you have them for future replacements in case of discontinued manufacturing. The seat has these little lever type things that you just slide open and the entire top of the seat will slide right out of its grooves! Kind of like taking a door off its jamb. This is also how you’d clean and sanitize the entire seat in an ergonomic manner, rather than bending over the bowl to do it. Your replacement seats you purchased would work the same since it’s the same model. Just pull off the top half from the unlocked position and install onto the toilet. The portion of the old seat that remains is only the securing screw… still super tight and clamped down. The inventor of this seat was a mad genius! I’ve never seen one like it but it’s definitely the ONLY seat I’ll buy going forward! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! You WILL most definitely need a wrench of some sort to install this seat, NOT a screwdriver like most other types. The securing screw has to be tightened down enough on the underside of the toilet so that half of it literally snaps off which is how it becomes locked in place permanently. Only way to tighten it enough is with a wrench. Socket wrench recommended. This seat is NOT installed like typical seats, so pay close attention to how the arrows on the bolts face, which end of the snap screw to use, etc. I almost installed my seat upside down but caught it just in time. This is an important step because remember once the set screw is tightened and snaps off, it’s gonna be difficult/impossible to correct an alignment, orientation or position error. So go slow and get it right the first time. If installed correctly, it will fit perfectly and soft close like my video shows. Enjoy :) 12/15/22 UPDATE: I’ve had this toilet seat installed for 1.5 years. Do I still love it and stand behind my 5 star review? ABSOLUTELY!! The seat is STILL, 1.5 years later, as tight as the day I installed it in May 2021. I love this thing!! The underside of the seat is just barely starting to show some wear/tear for obvious reasons, which after 1.5 years of daily use, tells me how high quality craftsmanship this seat really is. I’ve recommended this to everyone I know! You should buy it, love it like I do, and tell your friends :)
