Difficult to use but does work.
Works as described, but takes practice to master. A friend of mine can't get it to work at all and I can spin it on my first attempt. But unless your doing party tricks, this device is practically useless.Once the eggs have been scrambled it is very difficult to boil them as the shells have become extremely brittle and split open while boiling even if you set them in the water gently. After they have boiled they are almost impossible to peel so much so that its not worth the effort. I thought before I bought this, Hey, It would be great to have a hard boiled scrambled egg in the fridge i can grab and go for breakfast! But after 5 minuets of picking off every last piece of shell and losing 1/4 of the egg in the processes it proved to be more time consuming then just microwaving my eggs in the AM. ProsWorksConsDifficult to masterIf boiled, eggs are hard to peel.So in summery, Save yourself the cost and don't buy another kitchen gadget that'll clog up your kitchen space.

Peeling is impossible
Medium-sized eggs are easier to install. Use older eggs, not fresh, they are slightly easier to peel. Make sure the device is fully put-together (the gold ring is locked down.) Even if you steam-boil these eggs, they tend to crack and explode. Tastes like a frothy scrambled egg. Not worth $20. No instructions included, so you have to either figure it out on your own, or go to their website and watch a video.Pros: Yay it is fun! Zoom zoom. Magically pre-scrambled egg.Cons: Boo - peeling is impossible, the shell sticks to the cooked egg. Size & age of egg is an issue. Hard to twist the device closed, and then to re-open it.TL;DR - $20 is too much to spend for this device. I do not recommend.

Gotta know these tips, then it's GREAT!!!
I'll be honest, I'm not a big egg fan. My 66yr old mom on the other hand likes them so much she stashes hardboils in her purse! She makes them in GIANT batches in the fancy egg cooker I got her on her birthday, and snacks on them throughout the week. Here's the problem, THEY STINK! Came across this on YouTube of all places. Now my mom has never made an impulse buy in her life and doesn't believe a new product is legit till Oprah says so. I showed my mom the video and I've never seen her so excited! I bought it right then.It arrived about 2-3 days later. So son enough I wasn't quite expecting it yet. Gave it a shot the first second I got it out of the packaging. Had the instructions playing at the same time. Well that first night I learned that's it's and great egg slingshot!I couldn't give up since I had to be sure it would work before my mom got it. After a day or 2 and my anger passed, I tried again. And here's what I learned:1. If the inner rubber linings aren't lined up properly, it will not work, and it will be really hard to open.2. Even when it's lined up, it's hard to open if you have smaller hands. Do a search on YouTube or Google for "golden egg scrambler tips and tricks". I found a couple videos that showed me how to use a towl on the counter to open it much more easily.3. Start slow and delicate while the spinning starts. Instant says you gotta use brute force and speed to get it to work. But a controlled rotation will build up speed on its own with less effort and works way better.4. Make sure the strings are even and when you first start, the egg and strings are lined up. They'll tangle and stall if they're not.5. If the egg holder seems like it's off balance while its spinning, then you don't have the halves lined up correctly.6. DO THE FLASHLIGHT CHECK!!!7. Adding a decent dash of baking soda to tap water agh the eggs and bring to a boil. When done, immediately transfer them to in an ice bath and place in the fridge for at least 5-10min. This will significantly help with peeling the peeling process. But no matter what you do, golden eggs are a bit harder to peel.Giving this amazing eggy gift to mom tomorrow 😄 Best of all, AND THEY DON'T STINK!I guarentee that every negative review listed here was the result of not knowing these important tricks. They should have been included in the instructions. It takes some getting used to but in 3 tries I went from an egg on my wall to a dozen perfect golden eggs scrambled effortlessly.

Not worth the hassle once the novelty wears off
"Hard to peel" boiled egg doesn't do it justice - you really do need to use their recommended method of cutting the egg in half with a knife and scooping it out with a spoon. The need for a knife and spoon killed my main reason to love boiled eggs as an easy, portable snack. I still kept this around to use when making scrambled eggs, figuring it did a better job than a fork and was easier than having to wash a whisk. However, about every third time (maybe those were the times I managed to get it properly closed?), it was so hard to open that it just wasn't worth the hassle. I had this for months, so I don't believe the reviews that say it loosens over time, or that I will eventually get the hang of it. I don't need swearing and sweating before my breakfast in the morning. Today I pitched it in the trash with an egg still trapped inside.

Solid function, questionable output
While this definitely works as advertised, there are some things to know: the locking ring can be difficult to open/close, the cords get HOT after just a few seconds of spinning. Also, if you are like me and primarily use this for making hard boiled eggs, you will find them very difficult/wasteful to peel, as the scrambling action disrupts the natural membrane layer. I bought this in curiosity of whether it would improve on normal hard boiled eggs, and in my opinion it did not. All other egg scrambling needs are easier accomplished outside the shell, so as I was not impressed by the taste of scrambled hard-boiled eggs , I will likely not be using this product for anything again.

Works perfect for scrambling eggs in their shell, with huge health and safety concerns.
This product works perfectly. For those who have tried using a nylon or sweatshirt to try to scramble the egg in it's shell, this is a huge time saver. 3 out of 5 stars, only because this product is not safe to have around children. All the friction from the ropes causes them to be -extremely- hot! Burn the skin level of hot. There is no warning label that I saw on the packaging to make users aware of this. If you use this product, please be very cautious of this, especially if you have a little one like I do that is curious to what I am doing and wants to touch everything.
