Gaby's recipes are flavorful, fun, and accessible to cooks at all levels
UPDATE: After a month of cooking from this book, I'm still a raving fan. I've made close to 30 of the recipes so far and there are multiple that are going in my regular rotation. The entire breakfast chapter is incredible. The broccoli beef and Bahn Mi rice bowls are next level. The bacon, cheddar, and tomato grilled cheese is so simple, but life-changing. The Phish Food style brownie is my favorite brownie ever. I can't stop cooking from it.I've only had this cookbook a week, but it is pure joy. I've already tried out several of the recipes, and they are everything I expect from Gaby - fresh, easy to put together, and very delicious. I come back to Gaby's recipes again and again because I trust her and know that her recipes are going to work. This is a beautiful cookbook (pictures throughout are beyond incredible) that just makes me feel happy (and hungry), and everything in it is so accessible. I have her last cookbook, but I like this one even more. I've read the whole thing, and I actually want to make every recipe - something I've never felt about a cookbook before! This is a great cookbook with amazing food, and cooking from it feels like you're cooking with your best friend.

If you love avocados
I think I would have loved this book more if the recipes were just American which is what I was particularly looking for when I choose a white chefs cookbook. If I wanted to learn to make something middle eastern I would definitely use an Ottolenghi or Yasmín Khan recipe not this. My review isn’t negative because I did enjoy the book. I would have also preferred more savory recipes and less sweet. I’m always searching for weeknight recipes to feed my family of 3. With all this said when I am craving something very LA I turn to Gaby. I think that her LA California girl recipe content is one of the best and that’s why I follow her.

Better than 2nd but not without issues
I own Gaby's second cookbook and I wish I'd returned it, because I just didn't connect with the recipes and it's sitting in a closet. That's a personal thing though. That said, I follow her website and was excited about the third cookbook because it looked like she was sharing things we actually like to eat. It honestly doesn't bother me that she used some of the recipes from her site, but it is hard when Instructions aren't clear and I have to rely on her Facebook group to get input, and yes there are typos - but it's clear editors aren't what they used to be in the book world in general. Would I buy it again for $27, definitely not, but I would continue to visit her website and try recipes that look interesting. I give her an A for self promotion. She's fun to watch on Instagram, and her site is nice to navigate. Her food though just comes down to tasters choice, as does most peoples.

Best cookbook hands down
New favorite cookbook for sure. I’ve already tried three of the recipes since getting it a day ago! Gaby knows what she’s doing and each time I make her stuff there is minimal “failure”. Hard to get it pretty as hers but the flavor of her recipes is always there. Her technique is fairly simple and to the point. Lots of tips. Photography is amazing. This is a very well-rounded cookbook. I’ve never connect and resonated with a cookbook before like this. I’m learning to enjoy flavor in foods more and to focus on what tastes and feels good, and not eating something for the only reason that it’s healthy. This cookbook is balance. I made one of her chicken dishes that had a ton of veggies and I’m guessing low carb, but being low carb was not the intention. The intention was a tasty dish that everyone can make that has lots of color. Then I made the no churn mascarpone strawberry ice cream and man that’s delicious and was so easy to make!

BEST NEW Cookbook!
Just received my first Gaby Cookbook! Halfway through watching her make “Dad’s Kitchen Sink Cookies,” page 232, I was already on Amazon pressing add to cart! I started reading it at 3:00am, time is no longer an issue, it’s okay! As I started turning the pages, I was like OMG, she wrote this for me! From the baked feta (Greek girl here,) to the Fattoush salad, (latest obsession,) to my favorite recipe, Caico e Pepe, It was perfect. I actually got teary eyed, it was late! 😂. Seriously, I have well over 100 cookbooks and never have I fell this hard. Movies are made over cookbooks like this, Julie & Julia for example, of course ours will be Gaby & Maria! Trust me, if you haven’t purchased this book yet, do it now so we can cry together and don’t even get me started on the Mac & Cheese, OMG! 😮 Thank you Gaby for all your hard work, it’s truly PERFECT! - MKuncorked

BEYOND and so on brand
My book arrived less than 48 hours after I placed my order. It is absolute perfection. I'm just skimming through and I literally want to cook everything.. right.. now. The photos are phenomenal and recipes are super accessible with good variation. I really love that Gaby included a bunch of international recipes inspired by her very obvious affinity for traveling. I was on the fence about purchasing since I already have the first two books, but after these glowing reviews I had to see what all the fuss was about. Gaby deserves all of the success she has. She seems so super genuine and is always so incredibly positive in her Instagram videos. It's super refreshing and it's what we all need more of, especially in the current climate. Thanks, Gaby, for a fantastic addition to my cookbook collection. [I'm up to about 70 cookbooks.. send help..]-Lauren Weisler

Mediocre for an Avid Cook
I at first was really excited to read this book and try the recipes based on all the good reviews. I realized after looking through that many of these dishes are pretty basic and nothing new (except like 2-3 recipes) for someone who cooks “gourmet” food on a regular basis. If you aren’t very experienced at cooking or haven’t been adventurous in trying different types of recipes, this is a good book for you. Experienced cooks should try a different book. This book definitely won’t be on my display shelf.

WOW!
WOW! There are so many amazing recipeS in this book! There’s some really nice everyday recipes in here, great dinner options! There’s pizza, pasta, some amazing salads! Some recipes she’s picked up on her travels which I’m really excited to try! I have been following Gabys meal plans from her website for a few months now and have been loving it! The recipes in the cook book are above and beyond what she has on her website so I strongly suggest getting this! Thank you Gaby for a great cookbook!

Gaby always brings the best of flavour and beauty!
I am a long time fan of Gaby and her blog. I loved her last cookbook and this one is no different! The recipes are all beautiful, approachable and most importantly flavour packed. I can’t wait to cook my way through it! At first glance I already want to make everything. Another win for Gaby!

A must have cookbook for everyone!
Preordered in January and received promptly on release day! I flipped through immediately and had to stop and make a snack. Lol! This book has the most incredible food photography, easy and approachable recipes. I have tried numerous recipes from Gaby’s last cookbook, her blog, insta-lives etc. The conclusion- they ALL work out and they have all been delicious. Highly recommend buying this cookbook as well as the last one (title: “what’s Gaby cooking”).Looking forward to cooking my way through this entire cookbook!

Disappointing
After going through a lot of recipes in her first book and loving them, I was super excited to receive her second book and boy, was I disappointed. Almost every recipe is just a wee bit different from recipes I already have from other books and other websites. Nothing new or exciting here for someone who cooks or bakes a fair bit. I doubt I’ll use it at all. Absolutely not worth buying. Two stars for photography.

Easy cooking and lots of variety.
I have Gaby’s first cook book and love it. This cook book is even better if that’s possible. Great for entertaining or just being at home with family. You won’t be disappointed.
