John Frieda 8.3 Ounce Shampoo for Blonde Hair, Violet Crush Purple Shampoo, Neutralizes Brassy Yellow Tones, Blonde Toner for Bleached, Platinum

i dont have $80-200 to go to a salon. this worked with my at home bleach. i dont have a high level of blonde . its a mixure of low and high lights and the shampoo and conditioner took all the brassy out! i live it. it was yellowish blonde now its creamy purple ashy blonde. wish i could share photo. i wash hair once a week so this doesnt dry me out like some people said ^^ also they say purple conditioner is a scam. id rather use it than not use it. why not have extra purple pigment???? the conditioner is good and moisturizing.... wish was on sale always..... id buy forever

I've tried several other brands of purple shampoos since I first started dying and toning my hair platinum blonde a couple of years ago. Some have off-putting strong scents, some don't lather up that great, and some just don't do a great job counteracting the yellow tones to help toner last longer. That has never been the case with John Frieda's Violet Crush shampoo, and why it's the only purple shampoo brand I now buy. I've always had good luck with all of John Frieda's products and previously used the Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner when I used to color my hair with single process box color. The Violet Crush color is super concentrated so you're sure to get some good toning action from it. It lathers up nicely, has a pleasing, light scent that fades after you dry your hair, and it leaves my hair shiny and silverly. I not only use it for color maintenance after coloring, but I find it takes away a bit of the yellow when I use it after rinsing out the bleach from my hair's roots. I have never received any bottles that were damaged or leaking. Usually, they arrive in a plastic bag for added protection during shipping. It's true that purple shampoos can be a little drying, but I haven't found that to be the case with this particular product...however, I now only wash my hair twice a week since I began bleaching it. I use it with a good conditioner that helps repair the hair from damage and makes it soft.

While I really liked this John Frieda shampoo for blondes, I found it hard to get the purple coloring off my hands, shower, shower curtain and anywhere else it happened to have run or splashed onto. It was quite messy. But I will admit if none of that bothers you this really works to neutralize, tone and get the brassiness out of blonde hair that has been recently either dyed or highlighted. My hair always picks up red highlights. Sometimes even greenish. But the purple tends to tone those down and helps make your hair more of a pale blonde but shiny and quite manageable. It also smells so good. If only I could wash my hair with this without making such a Purple mess. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Arrived fast and as ordered. I leave it on at least 10 mins maybe 15 but you will get results. Great smell and it doesn't stain your hands.

Its purple shampoo works well, and is economically priced. I will purchase again.

Works good but dries hair out. For the price point it’s okay to get brassy color out. If you keep it on too long it stays purple gray which was not the end of the world it washed out.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This is my new go to product. I used it once and received so many compliments on how beautiful my hair is! Definitely worth the hype!!! If I could give a 10 on the product I would. I’ve been talking about this product with everyone!
